Positive Review
I have had a 1992 Toyta Paseo since college and it is still a great lilttle get around car. I did replace the engine about 7 years back (it had a leak that I did not attend to and the engine blew- my fault). It currently has 170,000 miles on it, the engine having about 100,000. The interior had held up wonderfully and we have surprisingly few replacement issues with a car that is 15 years old. I would definaltey recommend it to someone who wants an adordable little commuter car. The only drawback is that if you are adult height, you will really not be comfy at all in the back seat. The front is plenty roomy enough for someone 6' tall.
Critical Review
stiff ride, good gas mileage, expensive to repair, tranny stiinks. Look for timing belt problems and head gasket issues.

This was my first car! Purchased the 92 model as a high school graduation gift for myself. Never had a mechanical problem with it and got great gas mileage. The interior was easy to clean. I traded it in just because I wanted something bigger. But honestly always believed it was one of the worse decisions I've made. Toyota made a mistake getting rid of it too.
Good MPG, Fun, Reliable, Cheap
Extremely reliable and was a great car. Excellent quality from 90s Toyota.
great gas mileage, mechanically SOUND, RELIANT
small inside, no cargo space
my mom gave me this car and it had more than 80,00 miles on it back then. At the risk of sounding like an dummy - I have never had any maintenance done and that baby ran like a dream. it came from North Dakota so it had a block heater installed (it was funny cause folks down here thought it was an electric car because of the cord hanging out the front grill) Anyway, she started right up everytime all winter, each winter. she ran and ran an ran. Im giving her to my sons friend and sad to let it go but its pretty beat up and thats a BIG understatement! IF they still made these cars I would happily be a loyal customer!!!!
Great MPG and very sporty.
Small trunk.
Great car! Got 45 MPG on highway two years ago! Low to the ground so good cornering ability. Engine won't die.
Reviewed my '93 Paseo two years ago. I still love the darn little car, my wife still hates that old little car, and my son is two years older and is still waiting for me to give it to him.
Fun to drive, good mileage
None really. Not a fancy car
Original owner and had it for 22 years. Absolutely adored this car and very sorry I got rid of it. It started having problems (couldn't pass emissions inspection, wouldn't start, stopped on highway) and I kept having to throw more and more money into it for repairs so finally threw in the towel. But...wonderful car, had great gas mileage and I only started having trouble with it over past yr. Wish Toyota kept making it. I ended up donating it but it would have been a great car for a kid who liked to fix cars.
fun to drive and excellent gas mileage
none
This is a great car, I have had it since 1997 2nd owner of this vehicle it had 57,000 miles when I purchased. In the years I have driven it the only repair it has required was to replace the bands in the transmission. It now has 300,000 miles on it and still going strong. Wish they were still in production, would have bought another instead I bought a Yaris
excellent gas mileage, fun to drive
hard to find parts at times
I have hardly ever had to work on my car. It gets excellent gas mileage and is a fun to drive.
