Head Gaskets

This is a great car. Plan on expensive repairs though. Head gaskets, 2 replaced in 3 years...at $1500. each time. Not happy with that one. Radiator, $500.00, power steering pump, $500.00. Paid $4000. 5 years ago + $4000. in repairs. Now needs transmission seals replaced, $2600.00. Going to sell the old girl....

They don't make them like this anymore!

I mean really, what can I say about the Cressida that hasn't already been said? Excellent vehicle, I am so glad I got over my reservations and purchased this baby. Couldn't be happier, it runs like a dream, has only 55k mi on it and everything looks new. I initially balked at the idea of buying a twenty year old car, but thankfully got over that, especially with the great offer I received. Love the sun roof and power everything! This was truly Toyota's luxury prototype, top of the line and with so many goodies for 1990. Whenever I take it to be serviced (so far nothing more than oil change and scheduled maintenance), the technicians ooh and aww over it, and have even asked if I would be willing to sell it! Certainly a keeper, and I will take very good care of her for yrs to come.

first car

i was 18 when i bought this car,it was my first car i truly owned(payed for everything myself).i payed $500 for it,i bought it off of a rich guy who had it sitting on a farm for years.i put a new battery in it,new gas and its ran like a dream ever since, excellent condition except the interior is rough from sitting on a farm lol..this car is amzing,my parents own a 2007 malibu and honestly i love this car so much more, the power in unbelieveable for a 4dr sedan, its obvious it has the toyota care put into it as it has 325000kms on it and still running strong,if you ever find one of these and are sceptical, dont be,buy it it is well worth it,a cult toyota classic

Best of the Best Forever

We bought this car brand new in 1990, and we still drive it, original engine and transmission, original shocks and springs, changed tires and brakes thought :) It has 356000 miles on it right now and not only still runs great but ready to dust a brand new car when she passes it. Very reliable, Toyota has stopped making them because they couldn't sell parts for them, THE SIMPLY DON'T BREAK DOWN, what more can I say? Very steady and powerful. I wish I can find another one to buy. If you come across one buy it, it's well well worth the money.
