2026 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews

I really wanted to like this car. (Camry xse). I forced myself to buy this car despite the logical voice in my head telling me not to. I think I just came down with a case of car buying fatigue. I'll list the pros first since I only have a couple - It has reasonably good pickup / acceleration and feels nimble. That's it. Literally the only things I liked. Here we go with the many many problems - It's ugly. I know that beauty is subjective but... it's not a good looking car in person. Let's just admit that part together and move on. Especially the two tone exterior color. Next - the tech. This isn't a car. It's a computer on wheels. It has so many beeps and bells and whistles that you feel like the car admonishes you Everytime that you blink. Too much "safety". Ironically, you find yourself spending more time getting startled by all the crazy tech nonsense going on that you forget you're driving. It's overkill. I think it's very dangerous. I was able to turn a lot of it off once I realized how bad it all was. You end up just paying for a bunch of features you realistically shoudnt be using for actual safety reasons. Speaking of tech - don't download the Toyota app. it appears to be monitoring everything you do and sending it to god knows where. Toyota seems to be stepping way over the line with data collection. The seats are awful. Literally painful after sitting on them for several minutes. The premium sound system is garbage. Very poor quality. The infotainment screen nightmare is difficult to use, overly large and distracting. The mpgs are coming in lower than advertised for me. Substantially lower. Very loud road noise and loud hum from the hybrid motor. The wheels are thin and ridiculous looking. One pothole or close encounter with a curb and you're gonna need a new rim. All of the tech feels completely intrusive. Do yourself a favor and skip this car. If you feel that you still need it, think long and hard before downloading the Toyota app. Do your research. Oh... and of course I forgot to mention how expensive and overpriced the car is. It's insane! Get rid of the bs overkill tech and pass the savings onto the consumer. I think this is one of the worst cars I've ever driven in my entire life.

Everything works great! No problems been running smooth for 57k miles! Oil changes every 10k with amsoil hybrid series. Zero complaints.

2026 Camry Le..this model came with heated seats, and power driver seat, not usually on the LE model. I was driving to the Honda dealer, to buy a new Accord hybrid. I stopped on the way, to this Toyota dealer "just in case" they may have a Camry LE "in stock" in a color I wanted. I was shocked when I heard "yes", we have a blue one. My experience with Toyota has been they dont sell cars, they sell allocations because they dont have any cars. Im uninterested in buying and committing on a car "I cant test drive" where I wont know when the car will arrive. No cars..no buy. Simple. Sure enough, he pointed me to a new LE in blue, that had came off the truck the day before. Not detailed, but sticker in it.. I started getting excited when I saw the equipment..heated seats, and power driver seat..on the LE (low end model) which is just what I wanted. So, I told the dealer, "Im not interested in driving the LE unless it can be bought well under MSRP, not over." He said the cars on the lot are discounted, the ones in transit, (allocations) get no discount. I agreed to drive it, when I realized they are ready to sell at a discount. I wont pay a Toyota tax, they add to many cars at the toyota dealer "because they can". Incredibly, this must have been "Burger King Motors", because I got it my way...like the old BK commercials. The camry LE was better than the Accord hybrid sport for 3 major reasons: 1. Accord sport has low profile rough riding tires, and can not be bought with standard comfort tires. 2. Camry had blind spot monitor standard, not on Accord sport. 3. This Camry LE had bonuses: heated steering, driver power seats. Both are low cost but extras worth the money. 4. (Yes I know I said 3) Price. Price was actually lower than the accord, mostly because Accord hybrid "is not offered" without "sport" (rough riding tires with little air between you and potholes.). The choice was a no brainer. Camry was better in many ways, and had no downsides from the Accord hybrid. I love the new Camry LE.

After awhile owning this car I would have to say no thanks. It's in the service department way to much, and taking time off just to get my car fixed. I'm not a fan of these cars any more. Most people feel how I do, they want a awd suv or a truck. The seats are not comfortable on long road trips. The resale value is dropping way to fast because newer vehicles coming out. To many problems with the auto industry!!

I've owned lots of Toyotas. This is my first Camry had it 5 months so far and love it. Great pick up when pulling into traffic on the expressway. I've gotten nearly 50 mpg on the highway.

2 Years using it and I have no issues at all, good milage and excellent car to travel with my wife and very confy.

Just got a brand new 2026 Camry SE and honestly I don’t get all the hate. This car rides smooth, gets crazy good gas mileage, and looks way better in person than in pictures. The interior is nice, the screen is easy to use, and it’s got plenty of power for everyday driving. A lot of the bad reviews seem like they’re just from people that don’t like hybrids to begin with. If you’re expecting an old-school gas burner, then yeah, maybe it’s not for you. But for what it’s supposed to be, Toyota nailed it. I’ve put some miles on mine already and have zero regrets. It’s comfortable, quiet, and saves money at the pump. If you’re on the fence, don’t let all the complainers scare you away. Most of them sound like they’re mad it’s a hybrid more than anything else.

Bought the Camry XSE Premium plus package. This car feels like a luxury car but drives like a sports car with its instant torque from the planetary gear set connected to 2 electric motors and a 2.5 ICE. GREAT CAR!
