After your Toyota purchase, it’s a good move to seek repairs through factory-authorized dealers, who have firsthand knowledge of your vehicle, as well as being up to date in the latest service bulletins issued by the manufacturer.

In the case of leases, many, including those from Toyota Financial Services leases, require the use of Toyota original equipment parts when making the car whole again.

While independent shops or big box automotive service centers may offer attractive rates, you can be assured Toyota dealers will be using genuine Toyota parts in performing repairs.

Training

Toyota service mechanics receive periodic factory training on the latest practices. They include courses by the Toyota Collision Repair and Refinish Training school where mechanics and technicians are instructed in the latest techniques for paint, body and electrical/mechanical repairs. All are done with the goal of being equipping technicians and Toyota service providers with knowledge for an effective repair.

Loan car policy

If your Toyota vehicle is in for a warranty-covered repair, Toyota, under its Transportation Assistance Policy, will supply a vehicle if your car must be kept overnight, or if parts are not readily available and the car is undriveable while waiting for the parts. If you are a regular customer of an individual dealer, some may offer loaner cars for repairs taking more than two hours. If your car is in for collision repair, and the dealer has no available loaners, your insurance policy may cover the costs of securing a rental vehicle. Toyota Certified Collision Repair Centers are the official names for dealer body shops certified to work on and repair Toyota vehicles that have been in collisions. They are body shops that are connected to Toyota dealerships, and are known for high-quality work using specific Toyota OEM parts.
