Can’t think of one good thing about this car.
Literally anything you could name on this car. Completely turned me away from Toyotas completely.
Everything broke on this car. Everything. Brakes, head gasket, from main seal, brake booster, power steering, radiator, water pump, incessant oil leaks. Worst car I’ve ever owned and I owned a mini copper. By far the biggest piece of junk Toyota ever produced. This car sucks.
Everything you can think of has broken on this car. Worst car ever made! From head gaskets, to brake systems, to seal. Don’t get the 4Runner hype. Total trash

Hello i been owned a 04 toyota 4runner for 16 years i bought it used with 160 k miles,right now 04/2026 it has 474 k milles same engine and transmission and still running great,i just do the regular maintenance every 5 k miles.
Vehicle runs Great, AC and heater work very well. Vehicle makes no noise and run great, exterior paint needs work.
Great for off roads
Not the best gas mileage
I have had this car for about four years and never had major problems with it. Always gets me where I need to go. I have driven halfway across the country in this 4Runner. Almost 300,000 miles and still no major issues.
I bought this vehicle new for my daughter in high school. She still drives it now (10-2024) with 176,000 miles. I own other Toyotas myself and a F-150 supercrew cab. I don't have to tell you Ford is not my top choice but Toyota is.
I have a 4 runner 2004 limited edition and I love it. These 4 runner you can not kill them ...they are ancient SUV no matter if they are 2023/2024 models they have the same concept...they are old but they are tanks that keep going and going....if you are looking for a super reliable SUV you should definitely put it on your top list the 4runner. Hey... it is a Toyota!!! Ask a mechanic and He will tell you that 4runners are one of the BEST SUV you can get for your money
