Positive Review

"Awesome Commuter Vehicle, astonishing pickup!"

I have a daily commute of about 52 miles, round trip. At first, I was very nervous about the range, because the "Wall Wart" that charges it from a 110 outlet only passes about 1kW (to a 17 kW-hr battery). Got the 220V dedicated charger, and now range is not an issue. Typically 7 miles every 10%. Acceleration is amazing- the Conventional Smart totally pales in comparison (as do a number of conventionally powered cars). It is very comfortable, VERY quiet, and confident driving down the DC beltway at 70 MPH. Highly recommended for Commuters! Park Anywhere!

Great safety, great charging

When you can save app. $1300 per year on fuel costs, it's well worth a close look. One of the best features is that you can charge w a standard 110 receptacle.

Fun Car
Pros

Fun and easy to drive, reliable, cute.

Cons

Need more charging stations in rural areas.

I absolutely love this car. Fun to drive, park anywhere, no concern about gas prices, plenty of power, easy to see out, lots of compliments, fits all my needs for a city car.

Great electric 2 seater
Pros

great price, fun to drive

Cons

short range only, hours to recharge

I leased this car 2 years ago in Boston. I have only about 9000 miles total so far, but I love the car. The range is too short, but only for long trips. This car is great for everything shorter than 70 miles round-trip. No back seat so you can't take small kids, but for one or two adults, and a bunch of groceries or whatever in the back it is perfect. Range drops off at highway speeds, and in very cold weather. The car has lots of pep, low center of gravity takes corners very well, is fun to drive, and you can park on a postage stamp.
