"Drives Great! Great gas mileage"

I love this car! Best thing i have ever owned. Note - Does cost more to maintainbut if you find the right tech it is worth it. There arent many saab owners out there but when you com across one it is a code to just smile.... "We driving saabs" This car is excellent i plan on upgrading to a newer edition when the time is right

Critical Review

"Lots of problems"

I have driven a Saab for four years. I would not reccomend buying it because of all the issues I have run into. I have had to replace almost everything and the electrical working is a giant mess to deal with. Another thing to keep in mind is that in certain cities it is hard to find a mechanic that will work on a Saab. Lots of regular mechanics have no idea how to work on a Saab. Because of this you have to take it to a mechanic that specializes in import cars which can become pricy. However, I love driving my Saab when it is running. It is incredibly fast and handles really well in bad weather condtions. If you are looking to by a used saab a important thing to check is to make sure that the sun or moon roof seals. I have had two saabs and have had issues with this multiple times. This is a problem because if it does not seal it will leak onto the control panel in the middle and short out window circuts. All in all its a fun car to drive but be prepared for lots of mantnence.

Best fun driving ever.
Cons

Seats could be wider for faster driving.

Peppy engine. I love the automatic air when I start the car. This car will go past 100mph but I don't want tickets. The car has had one owner and was taken care of since birth. I'm happy with this car and wish I lived somewhere else that would allow 85mph or greater on the freeway. That being said for a car with a manual gear shift it sure is a lot of fun to drive.

95 Aero is 'Mother of all Saabs'?
Pros

Comfort, great mileage, lots of room & performance

Cons

Town driving, stiff suspension, premium, bankrupt

An exec car with 10K miles when I bought it from dealer FEB 95. Enjoyed it immensely since. High performance (in highway cruise mode) luxury sports sedan with high top end. Quiet, very comfortable interior and leather form fitting seats. Roomy! Gas mileage is amazing considering 225HP and high cruising speeds..but requires premium. But it's geared very tall...1st and 2nd gears are just to get to 3rd gear...where the car comes into it's own acceleration wise. Between 50 to 90MPH, it seems like it has an afterburner. 75MPH in 5th is about 2350 RPM. I had it up to 136MPH easy (as logged by GPS max) on a "New Mexico test track". Test reports back then said it was a 150MPH sports sedan. It's true. Can't say enough about this Saab. But it is a SAAB. Even so, it's been pretty darn reliable and owes me little so far. Limp mode once (throttle problem), had to replace heater fan and lost SIDs display on dash...though module itself appears to be still working. If you find a well cared for, lower mileage 9000 Aero of this vintage...buy it. You'll be pleasantly surprised. A future classic, even among Saabs.

Blessed to have a 9000 Aero as my first car!
Pros

extremely fun to dirve, coin case with cup holder

Cons

Gets around 20 MPG but still worth it

The car itself gives a great personality to the driver as well for having a different car apart from the Mainstream Toyota, Kia, Ford, etc. The seats are more comfortable than my bed. The performance is unbelievable and is reliable when needed at most. My father was a SAAB mechanic at Sweden and he even agreed that the 9000 is the safest SAAB created in the time due to its 5 star rating of protection , air-bag deployment or the metal cage around to protect roll-overs. I recommend this car to anyone who wants to have a fun time along with safe needs
