The 2025 Toyota Tundra is a full-size truck with powerful twin-turbo gas or hybrid powertrains, excellent off-road capability, and very good payload and towing capacity. It’s also known for its fantastic resale value. This truck has the most carlike ride, steering, and handling in its segment, making the Tundra especially appealing for someone moving up from a car or SUV.
The Tundra’s seven trim levels range from work-focused SR and SR5 to the ultra-luxury Capstone. The highest trim levels, TRD Pro and Capstone, are hybrid-only, the SR and SR5 are gas only, and the midrange trim levels are available with either powertrain. If you are interested in the hybrid, which is more powerful and more fuel-efficient, it’s called the i-Force Max. Beyond that, the Tundra is also known for its off-road-biased TRD options, which include the most affordable TRD Rally package, available on the SR5, the more trail-ready TRD Off-Road package, and the most extreme TRD Pro trim level.
The Tundra originally launched for the 2000 model year, and the second generation came out for 2007. Toyota introduced the current third generation for the 2022 model year. The 2025 Tundra is mostly a carryover, with some trim levels gaining more standard features. The introduction of the TRD Rally package is the biggest change for 2025.
