The Ram 1500 Crew Cab received a major mid-generation makeover for 2025. Already considered one of the most advanced, well-appointed pickup trucks on the road today, Ram decided it was time to up its game. The 1500 battles for space in the lucrative full-size pickup market with the Ford F-150, GMC Sierra, and Chevrolet Silverado, as well as the Toyota Tundra.
To some, the big news will be the (temporary) departure of a V8 engine, but it’s the arrival of the brand’s most luxurious trim level ever — Tungsten — that piques our interest.
Let’s take a look inside the new Ram 1500 Crew Cab.
Passenger Room and Comfort
The 2025 Ram 1500 Crew Cab’s interior is quite spacious. It offers nearly 10 inches more legroom than the Ram 1500 Quad Cab, and it provides seating for six passengers with plenty of flair. With nearly a dozen trim levels available, the Ram 1500 can be as simple or opulent as a buyer wants. But what they all have in common is space. If you’re seated in the second row, know that you’re going to be pretty comfortable, whether it’s a quick trip from one job site to another or on a long haul for several hours.
The Tradesman version is exactly what you’d expect: cloth seats with a basic climate control system that keeps everyone comfortable. Get to the top, and you get improved materials and power seats that are heated and ventilated for the driver and front passenger. The more you spend, the more comfortable you will be in one of the largest cabs in the full-size segment.
Features and Tech
The Ram 1500 Crew Cab is loaded with technology from front to rear. In front, start with the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen that comes standard, but it jumps to a 14.5-inch screen as you move up into the higher trim levels. Additionally, the Ram follows the lead of the Wagnoneer lineup, offering a 10.25-inch screen for the front passenger. Much of the data flowing through those screens will come from smartphones, two of which can be charged wirelessly at the same time now, in select versions of the 1500. You can also add a digital key to make it easier for others to access the truck. Keeping those passengers happy can fall on a 23-speaker, 1,228-watt Klipsch sound system as you ride in the Tungsten-level pickup.
Ram engineers made sure the driver could drive as safely as possible, offering a head-up display to keep their eyes on the road while seeing stats like speed, gear, incoming calls, and directions projected onto the windshield. A digital rearview mirror helps when you are driving with a full cab of passengers. It uses a camera located in the tailgate to gain a wide view of what’s behind you in real-time on a mirror-shaped display screen. It also functions as a regular mirror.
Additionally, Active Driving Assist or Hands-free Driving Assist can help take some of the tension out of long journeys. The former is a hands-on-wheel and eyes-on-road automated driving system that uses lane centering with adaptive cruise control. While the latter is just what it says it is: a hands-free semi-autonomous driving technology.
Materials and Design
A wide variety of materials are used throughout the Ram lineup. At the base is the Tradesman model, which includes vinyl seating with a basic Uconnect system. Step up to the Big Horn model for much of the same, but with cloth and synthetic leather seating surfaces in various colors. Full-grain and Nappa leather are available throughout the rest of the lineup.
The once-top-of-the-line Limited model includes premium leather-trimmed bucket seating and the previously mentioned 12-inch display with navigation as standard items. However, it’s been supplanted by the all-new Tungsten trim line. Tungsten’s Indigo and Sea Salt interior includes a new platinum patina or semi-bright dual-textured metal accents.
Additionally, there is a diamond-knurling, suede-wrapped headliner, plus the same for the A- and B-pillars and visors. The seats don’t go untouched, as they are heated and ventilated premium quilted Natura Plus leather driver and front passenger seats. Those seats can be set up to make anyone happy with 24-way power adjustability, memory settings, a massage function, power lumbar support, and 4-way powered headrests.
Cargo Room and Flexibility
The under-armrest storage bin in the first-row seating is large enough to hold a 15-inch laptop or a load of hanging file folders. In addition, there are cubby holes in the doors and a large glovebox under the dashboard. The rear seat folds forward to use as a storage shelf for tools, stands, and other bulky items. The available under-seat storage bin holds smaller items securely and out of sight from prying eyes.
