The 2026 Mazda CX-90 is a sporty and upscale option in midsize 2-row SUVs. It boasts the driving character we love about Mazda SUVs, along with a premium interior that makes it an appealing alternative to more expensive luxury SUVs. Our favorite version of the CX-70 is the top Turbo S Premium Plus trim. Here’s what you get in the top trim and why we love it.
Potent Powertrain

Every Mazda CX-70 delivers an engaging driving experience, but the Turbo S models are the ones you want for maximum excitement in a practical midsize SUV. The turbocharged 6-cylinder engine produces 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, a 60-horsepower boost over the standard tuning.
The engine is paired with a responsive 8-speed automatic transmission, which distributes power to all four wheels. Mazda’s i-ACTIV all-wheel drive (AWD) system comes standard on every CX-70. In addition to improving all-weather traction, it also enhances the SUV’s competent handling on dry pavement, further improving its sporty driving dynamics.
Luxurious Interior

We’ve long praised Mazda SUVs for interior quality that punches above its weight class, and the CX-70 is no exception. For starters, the clean lines and tasteful subtlety of the interior design resemble those of a more expensive SUV. Moving up to the top Turbo S Premium Plus trim brings the material quality and creature comforts to make it a true competitor to similarly sized luxury SUVs.
Tan quilted Nappa leather seats are the only seating option in this trim, accompanied by a matching, two-tone leather-wrapped heated steering wheel. More color options would be nice, but it’s hard to complain about the quality, comfort, and visual appeal of these seats. They’re heated and ventilated in front and heated in back.
Speaking of the back seats, ambient interior lighting extends to the back of the Mazda CX-70 when you opt for the top trim, which looks quite cool while driving at night. Other comfort features the rear passengers enjoy include 3-zone automatic climate control, USB-C ports, and retractable window shades.
Modern Tech

Every 2026 Mazda CX-70 comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment display and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity. However, there are advantages to opting for the top trim. It unlocks the full potential of the infotainment system with a rich Bose Centerpoint 12-speaker surround sound system. You also get a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, built-in navigation, and a 3-month trial of SiriusXM.
The Mazda CX-70 Tubo S Premium Plus is also equipped with the latest safety technology features. In addition to the driver assistance features standard on every CX-70, like automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control, the top trim brings a 360-degree parking camera, emergency lane keeping with road keep assist, automatic speed limit assistance when adaptive cruise control is on, and driver monitoring, which can detect fatigue or drowsiness and alert the driver accordingly.
