Here’s What You Get in a Fully Loaded 2024 Hyundai Elantra

2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid

The compact sedan market remains highly competitive because it serves multiple buyer segments. New models must feature impressive styling, good performance, and plenty of technology for a reasonable price. We give you the 2024 Hyundai Elantra.

This year’s model gets a styling refresh inside and out while offering options for green buyers and performance mavens. Its revisions further distinguish it from its slightly larger sibling, the Hyundai Sonata.

Even with the updated look, the Elantra retains its affordability, with the SE starting at $22,775. For those wanting improved fuel economy, you can leave the dealer with the Elantra Hybrid, which starts at $27,400. The Elantra N, starting at $34,850, is an excellent value if you want some gusto for your go-pedal. All prices include the $1,150 handling fee.

Let’s look at what the fully loaded Hyundai Elantra offers.

Elantra Offers Plenty of Choices

Hyundai offers Elantra buyers a range of options. The automaker keeps the mainstream version to four trim levels: the SE, SEL, Limited, and N Line. The first three options feature a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.

You’re not going to blow the doors off the vehicle next to you at the traffic light, but you will enjoy impressive fuel economy at 30 mpg city, 42 mpg highway, and 36 mpg combined. Don’t underestimate that powerplant’s performance.

However, taking the N-Line could be the way to go if you want more from your new Elantra. You’ll get a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder putting out 201 hp while providing impressive fuel economy numbers: 28 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a street racer on a budget, consider the Elantra N and its 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. It puts out 276 hp and can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission. Yes, the fuel economy takes a hit, dropping to 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway with the manual. Those numbers fall to 20 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively, with the automatic.

But wait! There’s more! The Elantra offers a hybrid model that gets up to 54 mpg combined from a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder hybrid developing 139 hp.

New Looks Inside and Out

The Elantra’s exterior revamp really helps exacerbate the difference between it and the Sonata. Officials call the look Parametric Dynamics, which aimed to evoke a strong emotional response through “geometrically separated beauty.”

This beauty starts with Elantra’s new sharper front end, highlighted by a lower-profile front grille with thinner headlights. A similar change applies to the rear of the Elantra.

Moving inside, buyers enjoy an evolutionary change, giving it a more refined look while retaining the impressive spaciousness of the cabin. There are also new soft-touch front door panels and a redesign of the instrument panel.

Better Technology

The new version of the Elantra is laden with new technology, including:

  • Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Parking Distance Warning — Forward & Reverse standard on Limited trim
  • Digital Key 2 (compatible with iPhone and Android)
  • Vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Bluelink+ Connected Car technology
  • Six standard audio speakers
  • Bose Premium Audio with eight speakers now standard on Limited and N-Line trims
  • 10.25-inch infotainment system now standard on SEL trims and above

The Elantra also enjoys Hyundai’s impressive 5-year/60,000-mile warranty. The powertrains are covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever happens first. A longer warranty helps when you want to sell the vehicle.
