  • The Infiniti QX80 has a premium 7- or 8-passenger cabin
  • New Sport trim offers bolder, darker style
  • The QX80 is entering the second year of the current generation

Just redesigned last year, the 2026 Infiniti QX80 is one of the newest full-size luxury SUVs on the market, and it’s also one of the most boldly styled. The drama ratchets up another notch for 2026 with the introduction of the fashion-forward, dark-themed Sport trim, but it’s not all glitz and glamor with the QX80; it’s also a practical 7- or 8-passenger SUV that’s ready for adventure. Here’s what you can expect on the inside of Infiniti’s full-size luxury machine.

Passenger Room and Comfort

The QX80 is one of the larger full-size luxury SUVs around, offering more cargo space than either the BMW X7 or the Mercedes-Benz GLS, although the likes of the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator are even more capacious. Front-seat comfort in the QX80 is excellent, and the second row offers plenty of space, too, with 39.2 inches of legroom. The third row is more snug but still competitive with 32.9 inches of legroom.

The new Sport trim adds a heavy dose of dark-themed style, as well as upgrades to semi-aniline leather upholstery and 10-way adjustable massaging seats. The top-spec Autograph adds heated third-row seating, power-adjustable and massaging second-row seats, and quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery.

If you need eight seats, you’ll need to stick to the base QX80 Pure or the midlevel QX80 Luxe; the Sport and Autograph are only available with second-row captain’s chairs with room for seven passengers.

Features and Tech

All trim levels of the QX80 come equipped with some version of Klipsch audio, featuring either 14 speakers (Pure and Luxe) or 24 speakers (Sport and Autograph). All models also get dual 14.3-inch displays plus a 9-inch climate control screen. Additionally, Luxe and higher trims get a head-up display (HUD).

All models also feature wireless charging, wireless smartphone integration, Google Assistant virtual personal assistant, voice recognition commands, and no fewer than eight USB ports. Two 12-volt DC outlets are available in all trims, while the Sport and Autograph add a 120-volt household power outlet.

On the safety front, the QX80 gets abundant standard features, including predictive forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic braking, and a range of driver-assist features.

Materials and Design

Design is at the forefront of the QX80’s vibe, with a fresh look inside and out released for the 2025 model year, as well as upgrades to the Sport model for this year. The Sport takes the QX80’s bold lines and adds a new front grille, restyled front bumper, and unique 22-inch wheels.

The Sport also features darkened exterior trim, mirror caps, and other exterior details, plus a Dusk Blue interior color theme, dark matte chrome details, open-pore wood trim, and more. The QX80 Sport can be configured with Mineral Black, Radiant White, Grand Blue, or Dynamic Metal paint colors, plus an optional contrasting black roof.

From the base to the top-of-the-line trim, the 2026 QX80 gets power driver and passenger seats with lumbar support, a heated leather steering wheel, heated/reclining second-row seats, and even power-reclining third-row seats. Seating materials are leather, except for the base model, which gets Infiniti’s TailorFit synthetic leather.

Cargo Room and Flexibility

As noted above, the QX80 offers plenty of cargo space at 97.1 cubic feet maximum. That breaks down to 56.3 cubic feet behind the second row, or 20.4 cubic feet behind the third row. That’s generous cargo space compared to the BMW X7 (90.4 cubic feet) or Mercedes-Benz GLS (84.7 cubic feet).

Third-row access is easiest when the QX80 is configured with the 7-seat layout with second-row captain’s chairs, but the optional second-row bench seat (available on Pure and Luxe trims) also offers 60/40 split-folding for third-row entry plus a center armrest with two cupholders.
