Honda’s Prelude interior shines with its sophisticated touches and practicality. As a coupe you are getting only two doors, but the liftback in the rear maximizes its diminutive space. A 2+2 configuration means you have a second row of seats. However, that 60/40-split second row would only accommodate a smaller proportioned adult. No one back there wants a long road trip. With those seats folded, the Prelude offers 15.1 cu-ft of cargo space. This accommodates two regular pieces of luggage or golf clubs.

The driver and passenger of the Honda Prelude are met with a spacious front cabin experience. The comfortable bucket seats are each bolstered specifically for which side of the car you occupy. They’re offered in luxurious two-toned, houndstooth, leather combinations. In addition to being handsome, they make a long road trip a joy.

Other cabin materials and finishes feel premium. A suede-textured leather cover the dash and center console. Honda includes substantial-feeling switchgear. A leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel and alloy paddle shifters are appreciated touches for the Prelude nameplate.

Drivers don’t want for tech. Even though the touchscreen measures in at only nine inches, it feels well-proportioned for the car. A 10.2-inch digital instrument display provides driver information, though it does lack extensive customization options.

Other tech extras include wireless charging in a rubberized tray, so no phones slip when carving corners on a spirited drive. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Google built-in, all connect occupants seamlessly. A sun or moonroof are not available as the liftback does not accommodate for it.

For the $43,195 base price, which includes destination fee, buyers get a fully loaded car. The Prelude only comes in one trim. The only options are accessories for items including mirror cap colors or summer tires.
