Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and limit charging to a maximum of 80% until the recall repair is completed. Dealers will replace the high-voltage battery system assembly free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 31, 2026.

Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2026 Nissan LEAF vehicles. The outer rear seat belt automatic-locking retractors (ALR) may deactivate early, which can prevent a child restraint system (CRS) from being secured properly. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
Dealers will replace the rear outboard seat belt assemblies free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, which is anticipated by winter 2026.

BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2025 Mini Cooper S, Mini Countryman S All4 and X2; 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre; 2023-2025 BMW i7, 7 Series and X7; 2024-2025 BMW i5, 5 Series, X5 and X6; and 2023-2024 BMW XM and X1 vehicles. The integrated brake system may malfunction, resulting in a loss of power brake assist or causing the antilock braking system (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) systems to not function properly.
