I can carry twice as many parts and tools as I did in my Chevy 2500 and still have a clear floor and can stand up in the back. I have the standard height and I'm 6' tall and can walk through the van. The drivers side slider is awesome for service work. I open the door to a shelf full of tools and can grab my bags without having to go to the curbside and get in the mud or grass. I can make a U-turn on a standard subdivision street which is great.
Critical Review
this van doesn't move well at all in any snow even with studded snow tires. very bad performance neither dealership or anyone else has any idea how to correct this. short wheel base and short vans are fine. but the extended and high top are the worse. needs more drivetrain engineering.

I have a 2025 Ram Promaster that has some issues. The cup holder is on the floor requiring the driver to bend every time he needs a sip of his drink, potentially losing sight of the road ahead while doing so. To make matters worse there is storage compartment of sorts jutting out about a foot above the cup holders. This further restricts access making it an accident hazard. This is also the only cupholder in the entire vehicle. I drove Ford Transit 150 for 4 years prior to this which had cupholders at 4 locations. The vehicle has a rear-view camera instead of a rear-view mirror which is a very poor replacement for a mirror. The rear-view image magnifies distances. A vehicle that is 5 feet behind you may seem 20 feet away & and you can't even tell the color of the vehicle following you let alone any other details. This camera stops displaying the rear view the moment you turn on the indicator. The video console on the dash that manages the navigation, music, settings etc. is a nightmare. They've managed to put in device that very user unfriendly and lacks a clear logical path to get to what you are looking for. The screen also lags a little. There is supposed to a known issue with USB player because of which it starts over at the first song of the first folder every time you start the vehicle instead of picking up where it stopped when the vehicle was last turned off. Ive driven a dozen other vehicle in the last 2 decades none of which had the issues above. This vehicle has other issues. All in all, the person who designed this probably really hates drivers.
Constantly downshifitng when it should not. Trans was leaking oil at only 40k miles, had to get serviced. Service was a nighmare and a half. Will never cosider a promaster for my company again. Getting a transit or express instead. Got 350k out of the express before a single issue
Bought a new 2019 3500 with a knaphide cargo. Love the cargo. Had one with my gmc. Got 230,000 miles on it and traded it for labor on my windows. Anyway, transmission went out must've been around 35,000. They covered it. Transmission went out again at idk like 75,000. It was covered but they had the vehicle for over 9 months! Then a month later both Cadillac converters needed replacing. One cost over 2500.00! Don't remember what the other one cost. They said it's about 7500.00. This thing is complete junk.. on top of you can't drive it in snow. Not even an inch.. the fan goes on and off all the time!! You can't go at steady speed without it down shifting or up shifting.. just f-n ridiculous.. gonna clean it up and sell it.. good thing I'm on my last leg of working. Time to hang up the wrenches..
Van runs just fine with minor dents and scraps on outside. Cloth tear on inside front area by seats. Glass chip on windshield
Cruse control and comfortable
V6 all well tho
If you drive it like a Van it's perfect very comfortable and nice interior for a work van 2023 is a great year like mine alot I do wish it was a v8 but I treat it like a v6 and it does what I need
Just a horrible vehicle overall. Has left me stranded 2 times in 45k miles. Random issues with settings changing with auto brake, preferred units, and more. Remote unlock, lock, and start barely work. Uncomfortable seating position, very limited adjustability for steering and pedals. Inadequate power in my opinion. Van was sold as a 9 speed transmission but has never shifted past 7th gear. Parts are unavailable and even little things like drive belts dealers don't have in stock. Would recommend anything else.
I have a 2019 Ram Promaster 2500 and the transmission just broke at 68k. It had to be completely replaced, so tack on a $6000 repair to your purchase. Would not buy again, feel stuck with a dodgy unreliable van and I poured money into it to make a camper van over the past few years. Choose another van model.
very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one, very good van, I would definitely buy another one,
