Critical Review
Purchased the 2500 Dodge Ram Tradesman Crew Cab 2022, brand new. Drove from CT to Maine, engine light went off with Code P1404 EGR CLOSED POSITION Performance. I was told by Dodge delaership can't drive the truck, but no mechanics, a week later NO PART, NO TRUCK! Way to go Dodge! should've purchased my 6th Ford F250 XLT instead! Dodge road assistance service is TERRIBLE! They gave me the run around for 2 hours before I could get someone just to tell me they will be refunding me for a rental only for 3 days at $35.00 a day!!!

Nice looking truck
Not reliable as I ended missing business appointments $. And on top of that is a hit or miss if I will get a refund on the renta
Worst truck I’ve ever owned. The truck has less than 3,000 miles. After driving it for under 10 minutes, the battery light came on, followed immediately by a high temperature warning. Another driver waved me down to tell me I was leaking a large amount of fluid. I pulled over right away, opened the hood, and saw a complete mess, severe leaking, a torn belt, and multiple broken components. This truck is used for my business, so reliability is critical. After towing it to the service department, I was told they would need the truck for at least a week. When I asked about a loaner or rental, I was referred to Enterprise and told the rental would be out of pocket, and they could not confirm whether RAM would reimburse me. Now I’m stuck without my truck for over a week, paying more than $500 for a rental, with no clear answer on reimbursement, all for a truck that’s practically brand new. Extremely disappointing experience. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy a RAM.
my odometer and trip meters which effect fuel milage estimate and distance to empty.have not work since i drove it off the lot after writing a huge check nobody can fix it...these truck are not ready for prime time
I just purchased a 2025 RAM 2500, with the 6.4 gas engine. First off I was very impressed with how quite this truck really is. Love it! The ride is great for a 2500. As most truck people know the big trucks are for work and hauling. The look is great. Have not towed with it yet. But over all im looking forward to owning rhis truck. By FAR,,, THEE QUITEST TRUCK I HAVE EVER OWNED
Could not be happier. Four years and zero issues. This truck (ordered with a 50 gallon tank) is super comfortable, quiet and an excellent all around vehicle. 4x4 of course.
This Ram 2500 Tradesman was more pleasurable than i thought it would be,
Cant Think of any cons right now
Bought this truck about a month ago and I am very pleased with the truck
It has the power and features I was looking for.
Steering is nice, audio is nice, looks decent
Power is awful, suspension is terrible, crammed interior with no room for tools, bad fuel mileage pulling is terrible
No room inside of the cab, biggest issue is this truck has no balls pulling a trailer. The Ram 24 2500 bighorn has been a huge disappointment for performance. Hitting small bumps in the road is felt in your lower back. Getting on the highway watching the speedometer is like watching paint dry pulling a trailer.. would definitely rather get a Chevy or ford for pulling and convenience.. steering is nice and audio is good. If your getting tthe my it for a daily driver it should be fine but for any pulling or work your screwed
Engine Break
Not reliable
Purchased this truck in February 2023. It only had 30 miles. It Regens every 100 miles, regardless of if we are pulling our 5th wheel or not. At 2,000 miles the instrument panel said Deisel Particulate Filter is full take to the dealership. Took to the shop and they had it for 3 weeks and had to replace the Deisel Particulate Filter, after which the truck did not run as smoothly as it had before. We took it two different dealerships and they ran updates on the computer, but it was never quite right. Move forward to August 2024, we now have 28,000 miles on the truck and are stuck in Cody, Wy, waiting on another Deisel Particulate Filter because ours is full, again. Keep in mind we do not let our truck idle the way most Deisel truck owners we see in the RV parks. We turn it off even when we are stuck in traffic. We arrived at this RV park on August 11th, took the truck to dealership on August 12th. The part was ordered on August 13th and we asked for them to expedite, but currently the part is scheduled to arrive from Detroit on September 3rd. That is unacceptable. We are from Texas and are stranded in Cody, WY (nice place to be stranded) but we need to get back home. When we do get home, this truck is being traded in.
