Love this car! Reliable and perfect for me, a retiree. Have spent very little money on it--just replaced a couple of belts. My husband encouraged me to change the oil every 3000 miles so I do that. Excellent gas mileage. Always starts easily.

I've owned this car for 3 years, and so far has been trouble free. I purchased the car with only 24,000mi; it now has only 44,00. The gas millage is average 25 highway/22 city. The car is comfortable for me to drive, but for a large person it might be a little small. Overall a great car for the price. I paid $5,000 for the car 06/2005, and it was in excellent shape when purchased.

My car has been good to me. I bought it used in good condition with a little over 42,000 miles in October of 2018. I have maintained regular maintenance. No issues. I plan to keep it until it can't run any longer.
Reliable before 200k, decent looking and driving
Only a 3 speed transmission for 2000.
We had this car for over a decade, and eventually got up to around 230k before we had to get rid of it. For an 18 year old car with 230k, it ran extremely good, and still looked decent enough. (A bit of clear coat peel on the bumper and the black trim paint was curling up next to the windshield) The car wasn’t the most reliable at the end, but that was to be expected with the mileage. Unfortunately, it hydroplaned into a cargo truck and got totaled. The important part is that it protected my sister, but it also had a lot of sentimental value so we were sad to see it go.
Dependability
Too low, not the best traction in snow but good
I've had this car for about seven years now and I've never had to do any work on engine or transmission. No mechanical issues yet. It's probably the most dependable car I've ever had. Starts every day all year round in Chicago type winters. Not the best traction in snow. I eventually got tired of having to fall into it as a senior citizen. Not the best for getting in and out so I got a minivan but hate to give up the Neon. Doesn't burn a drop of oil either.
Handles great, heater and a/c very good.
I can't see the hood and front fenders. I'm short.
I bought this car used from the original owner in June 2016, with only 37,444 miles on it. It's been great! Gets 34 mpg on the highway, about 26 in town. Starts effortlessly. Handles very well. I've had only one problem with it, and that was my own fault. I hit a piece of road trash, and it flew up under the car and broke a vacuum hose of some sort, causing the check engine light to come on. Got the hose replaced for $3 plus labor, and no more problems.
