Positive Review
I bought this car from a 1 owner with 136,000 and now have 210,000 miles. It gets 37 mpg in city and 43 highway. The 1.6 liter 12valve is a great little Motor, Be sure to get injected fuel, NOT CARB !! I have put only about $300 in maintenace (Oil,filters,etc..)fees over 4 yrs of ownership. I Love it. Good luck.

2nd owner - Had newer tires installed, various maintenance performed and new windshield. AC not working properly, one power window no longer working, runs rough at idle and leaks oil into spark plug tubes plus other unknown leak/s.

I have a 1.8L '93 Colt. 5 speed manual. High mileage, though it's never let me down. not once! It's now a rust bucket with leaky exhaust and non-functional windows but it just won't die. It's using quite a bit of oil but I can't kill it, no matter how long I drive it. I'm ready to get a newer car but it won't die....

My parents bought this car with 70k miles on it and let all my brothers drive it. I have been driving it for almost two years now and i am impressed at how well it still runs. The only thing i had to replace was the distributor coil. It has over 150k miles now.
This is the most reliable car I have ever seen. From the burning hot valleys of California central valley to the arctic freeze blasts of Laramie, Wyoming, my Colt has never failed in 20 YEARS. After about 185,000 miles, it was leaking oil pretty bad due to weathered seals and gaskets, so I pulled the engine, and rebuilt it from the inside out (new pistons, rings, minimal bored the block, replaced the crank/cam bearings, milled the cylinder head, valve job, replaced the axles, wheel bearings, radiator, alternator, brakes and tires. Since then, I've racked up 20,000 miles in one year, doesn't leak a drop and I get 36.4 mpgs. I will never EVER get rid of this car. I even tinted the windows nice and dark so now I'm really stylin' LOL. Here comes another 200,000 miles ! ! ! ! : )
I have owned this car almost a year. When I bought this car it had 116K and now it has 126K. It runs like a top. I think she has plenty of miles left on her. Godbless
I have had this car since 1994 when I bought it with 19,000 miles. The engine has been great! The only thing I had to repair was an alternator after 200,000 miles (besides the normal upkeep). Living in WI has taken it's toll on the body though and I am retiring it for that reason. It is being donated to another colt owner (1992) or to rawhide boys ranch. I wish I could say I have had the same luck with my other vehicles. I'll miss you!
Bought 92 Colt new (only 5 miles on it). Finally decided to get a tune-up, belts, and hoses at 100,000 miles, even though it didn't need any of that yet. Now have 136,000 miles and still love it!!! Best car ever!
