Bentley Recall History

Bentley’s car production is not that of more common automakers, meaning the affected vehicles go back a few years. Bentley’s more recent recalls have dealt with loose seats and battery cables, most recently on its Bentayga SUV and earlier campaigns for Continental GT and Flying Spur models.

In 2016 Bentley recalled some of its 2017 Bentayga vehicles over loose seats. The seat mechanism and instrument panel joints would not have been properly tightened and dealers would be able to retighten the seats to fix the issue. As of April 2018, just 24 of the 378 recalled vehicles still needed to be repaired.

Bentley recalled 7,778 vehicles starting in 2015 including 2012-2014 Continental GT, 2012-2015 Continental GTC, 2012-2013 Continental Flying Spur and 2014 Flying Spur models over a loose battery cable. This loose cable located near the firewall is a fire risk for drivers.  The fix includes replacing the cable and making it secure as needed. The latest data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows a completion rate of 83.6 percent as of July 2017.
