Positive Review
Nissan has properly engineered this truck. Notice that I said engineered, not built. The three "majors" build trucks, which have irregular workmanship, lack of detail, and quality control. With a proven Cummings engine and an interior (Platinum Edition) that rivals Lexus, Nissan has set a new standard. Written by an Ex F-250 super duty owner.
Critical Review
Glad nissan quit building these trucks. They are trash. First was a 2018 pro4x. Constant dpf issues. After 20k in warranty work, they voided my warranty. The truck needed an egr cooler. Sold it. Second is a 2016 sl. As of 2/18/2024 it has 75,017 on the clock. Has had to have the lp turbo replaced, the lift pump replaced, blend door actuator, and a window motor in the last year/1500 miles. Scared to drive it because of Constant catastrophic failures. It's now a yard ornament that's depreciating faster than a kia.

Reliable, strong, easy to drive and looks great!
Fuel economy, but I knew that going in.
I have owned 3 Titans since 2008. They have all been great trucks! I currently have a 2022 Titan XD Platinum Reserve. This truck is quiet, fast, smooth and reliable. I have driven it on road trips and it is super comfortable. The zero gravity seats are awesome! I get around 15 in the city and about 20 on the highway, not too bad for a large V8. It has been very reliable, and I have only done oil changes and tire rotations to date, with 36,000 miles on it. My older Titan had 110,000 and I had no issues with that either. My friend has an F 150 and has constant problems with it. He teases me about owning a "Japanese" truck but I don't have any problems, unlike his Ford. I love my truck!!
The seats are comfy while waiting for a tow
Constant catastrophic failures

Tows better than half tons
Rides better than 3/4 tons
I've had my Titan XD for 6 years and 60k miles. Regular service only. No problems. Interior and exterior have held together very well. It tows better than half tons that are rated to tow more - I know I had one. And when not towing or hauling it rides better than the 3/4 tons out there.
Not many
Not worth the money
The 2016 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve has been a total let down. For what I paid for this truck, it has been falling apart. Transmission has been changed, the fan clutch went out, the compressor went out, the starter went out and now the a/c is out and going to cost another $3,000.00. Stay away from these trucks!!!
You name it, it's in there
Gas mileage
This is by far the best truck I've ever had. I bought it new in November 2017 and haven't had any problems at all but the rear camera. It's very dependable and at 6 years old and 105,500 miles, it still looks like new inside and out, and it still runs like new. I pull a 9,000lbs 5th Wheel RV and it's rarely noticeable at all. It climbs hills and ride on the interstates under load with no issues at all. A very good and reliable vehicle. According to Nissan, this particular vehicle can tow 11,587lbs, and I believe it. Just and awesome vehicle. Considering purchasing another one soon.

Very comfortable ride with amazing pull power for any trailer I hooked up to it. Can easily tow 15k plus
Has been a solid truck owned since 12,000 miles. Replaced the transmission at 155,000 no other issues.
Smooth transmission, good power, great value
Big and clumsy, terrible fuel economy
After owning a 2018 Nissan Titan S I took advantage of the stellar covid trade in values and traded it in for a '21 Titan XD Pro4x. I shopped a couple other trucks as well but ultimately settled on the Nissan due to it's unbeatable warranty and "bang for your buck" value. I love all the tech, safety features, storage options, and creature comforts. Standouts include the adaptive cruise control, 360 cameras, back-saving zero gravity seats, and the incredibly handy and versatile Titan boxes. On the other end of the spectrum the Titan XD is a very large and clumsy truck in confined spaces and the fuel economy is absolutely atrocious (I'm getting 15.8 mpg combined) but any other 3/4-ton gasser would be subject to the same issues. Overall very happy with my purchase, no unexpected maintenance so far.
