My aunt bought this car brand new and passed it on to me in the beginning of 2015. In the short time I drove it, I packed on over 3,000 miles. The only non routine maintenance that ever needed to be performed on this car was replacing the belts and the computer which repeatedly displayed a check engine light when nothing was wrong (which made emission testing impassable). This past December, I was driving it by myself and was in a brutal accident. The car and I were airborne, nose-dove onto some grass, rolled down a hill, and was then t-boned in the driver's door by another driver going 70 on the highway. Thankfully despite the age of the car, all of the airbags went off and the seat belt caught me and I left the scene with only a fractured pelvis and sacrum. Thanks to this car's amazing safety features, I lived through an accident that should've killed me. Thank you Nissan.
Critical Review
I bought the vehicle at 43K miles, and have owned it for 6 years. Car now has 135K on it. While overall, it has been very reliable and has served it's purpose more than adequately (I use it for work, driving around the city to check on jobs), it has had several mechanical problems which have been expensive and ultimately caused me to have to replace it. First problem it has was cylinders misfiring. I had coils changed (which cost around 1K), and problem came back shortly thereafter. Several coils were changed again. Problem still returned. A tuneup at least got the check engine light not to go on again, but was advised it was probably just a matter of time before it happened again by my mechanic. The final straw was that apparently it has developed a crack in the engine somewhere which is causing it to lose coolant. Was advised by mechanic to start thinking about a new vehicle, as I would most likely need major engine work fairly soon.

Lasted so long and has been good for many years
Wear with age
Car has recently been through a lot. Its sun damaged, has a bad engine valve, and has a broken side door and mirror. All things that can be fixed/replaced. Its a 22 years old and can still take me place to place. Because of the need to replace the engine or engine valve it wont pass the smog test this year.
I want this car Nissan Sentra 1.8s do have it yes or no what do you say to me okay okay okay okay okay okay okay

For budget buyers its great. Note that the alignment, suspension and brakes are prone to wear easily. Poor in wet conditions. Rough idle&low gear. Can get by with just oil changes for years and years
The Killer 🐝 Was first introduced into the streets as a defensive driver 🚗 💾! Probably sometimes around when the DODGE Viper came out! 👀 they always wanted a RIVAL! 💯 💶
Many gas saver and easy to drive
Too small for Big people
Best car ever got mine in 2012 white 76k miles now has 160k still running strong not engine or transmisión problemas.
Gets moisture in the cold air intake filter causing the car to loose its power, stall out couldn't vent get going fast enough to slip it in 3rd gear
The main issue I've had with this car is the dipstick breaking during oil changes because of the heat + design/location weakening the top of dipstick (which is annoying but could be worse). Really has been a great car, and was bought used nearing a decade ago!
Never breaks down if you keep up on maintenance
Not very cool looking exterior, doesn't speed up f
I bought my Sentra from the original owner at 105k miles as a college student. The owner took very great care of it which I'm sure made a big difference. It is at 230k and carrying around our family of 5 from here to there. It is still running with only general maintenance and an oxygen sensor and alternator replaced. We now need an ECM replacement which we will do because it is such a reliable little car. I am probably going to keep it until it falls apart. Definitely would recommend to someone who needs a car to run for a long time with little maintenance.
