"Decent economy Van"

Having always driven an Astro cargo van, i had my eye on the transit connect for some time, but never really liked it. When the NV 200 came out it seemed to be a better fit for me.-We can argue specs on which is a better van but it really is just personal preference and specific application. Biggest selling points for me were MPG, price and the 60/40 rear door-and interior just "felt better". On the minus side, the sunshades are awkward. they don't extend far enough on the side window and they hang down to much to see through the front window. they don't stay up, had them replaced and the replacements do the same thing. Another downside is its not fun to drive at high speeds when its windy. it gets a bit squirmy. (when its unloaded at least) The cargo area being unfinished (no insulation or coverings) can make the van noisy when it rains. (think tin can) Its an economy van, so power and performance is not going to be one of its strong points-i feel its adequate considering i average 24-25mpg. with lowest mileage recorded at 22.9 and highest at 28.1. Just like any truck, when loaded, there is a decrease in acceleration power and braking distance increases...you just have to drive more carefully. 80% of my driving is little or no load so its fine for my purposes, but if i were to max out the carrying capacity on a regular basis, i may look for a bigger van. The CVT transmission is a bit different from the standard automatic and may take getting used to. Yes there are pros and cons from a technical perspective, but again it comes down to personal preference. Its less "sporty" feeling,(remember its a cargo van) but seems a bit smoother not changing gears all the time. I am neutral on recommending this van. I don't dislike it, but i just recommend if in the market for a cargo van to do your research and get the van that you feel the most comfortable with.

"Piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Things you should know about the Nissan NV200 before buying one! I have owned this van for about 13 months & have 25,000 miles on it. The suspension bottoms out so easily I have bent all 4 rims @ almost $200.0 each (for plain black rims) & lost all 4 wheel covers. Nissan knows they have a problem because the new VN200 don’t come with full wheel covers any more. I had to replace 2 tires at 18,000 miles because of cupping. Discount Tire said the only reason the tires will cup is because of bad suspension. Nissan said I need to rotate my tires every oil change. The only place you can get the tires is the dealer @ $214.00 each for cheap Continental Tires. At 25,000 I had to replace the other 2 tires because they just worn out. I got 75,000 miles out of the tires on my E150 van. Other problems are the side window is slopped so bad that your arm slides down, sun visor doesn’t cover the top 4 inches of the side window, back up camera only sees the bumper, voice control is very bad, cup holders are too deep, radio changes channels by itself, ABS light & Back door comes on sometimes & gas tank is too small. The blind spot mirror is a joke. This van is the biggest piece of junk man has ever made! I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a good van

Absolutely horrible

It’s an unreliable car with a weird tendency of developing engine oil sludge which you have to be hyper vigilant about and flush the engine oil frequently. We had an extended warranty and did all timely oil changes. During a road trip, the engine died due to an unknown cause. Luckily, we managed to safely pull over and get the car to a Nissan service center. I’ve owned many cars, and none of them developed such issues. At Nissan dealership, we were told that engines are on back order for months, which is concerning as to why they are in such a high demand. I don’t recommend this car to anyone.

Fabulous van!

My 2020 NV200 is a wonderful little van And I was lucky to get it in gunmetal, gray, a color they did not make many of. I have been working to turn it into a camper van and it is fabulous, so many options and much more space than you could imagine. It also has great fuel efficiency!

Blue Book Value 1/2 Price of Retail

Hi, I've been looking to buy an NV200 for a couple years. We own four, and most recently the best one I've found is a salvage title for a 2014 with 30,000 miles on it for $35,000. Plus I'd have to pay to have it shipped and delivered. Last year I bought a 2019 for $32,000. KBB price of $15-17K is vastly under reality.

A very useful van.

I've owned this van since it was new. I like just about everything on it. When new I kept losing a hubcap every now and then, so I bought custom wheels for it. The heater takes a little bit longer to heat up than I like, but other than these two issues, I have loved it. I have been getting high 20's to low 30's mpg! The four cargo doors and low load height are nice. I bought my NV200SV to transport my ailing mother and her wheelchairs etc. I could also put a twin mattress in and take her to the clinic or hospital. The low entry height was ideal. It's the most useful vehicle I've owned. It's not made for towing trailers, however, which is why I'm considering trading.

Love my van!

Gets 30 mpg. Can sleep in it on trips or get my rototiller in back. The shifter interlock solenoid has failed, so I use a paperclip in the shifter interlock to get it out of park. It’s $1000 to replace. That’s the only problem that I’ve had with it. It is comfortable, reasonably quiet even with aggressive tires.

Great small van

This van runs and handles like a small car. The seats are high enough to give you the van look.
