2025 Nissan Murano Consumer Reviews

I am extremely disappointed with my 2026 Nissan Murano Platinum—and what makes it even more disappointing is that I had a 2021 Murano and absolutely loved it. I loved it so much that when it was time for a new vehicle, buying another Murano was an easy decision. My daughter now has my 2021 Murano, and she won’t even drive my new one because she hates the way it drives. Honestly, I wish I had kept the 2021. The transmission/engine behavior around town is awful. It unexpectedly downshifts, hangs in gears, hesitates at low speeds, and then sometimes suddenly lurches forward. The shifting is rough and inconsistent enough that I find myself constantly noticing what the vehicle is doing instead of simply enjoying driving it. For a brand-new Platinum-level vehicle at this price point, this is completely unacceptable. Nissan completely changed the powertrain in the newer Murano, and if this is considered “normal” operation, they seriously missed the mark. A new vehicle should not feel confused about what gear it wants to be in during normal in-town driving. I bought another Murano because I loved my 2021 and expected the newer model to be an upgrade. Instead, at only around 7,400 miles, I already regret trading my old one. If you’re considering a new Murano, I strongly suggest taking an extended test drive in stop-and-go and lower-speed city driving—not just a quick trip down the highway. That’s where mine is the worst. I expected MUCH better from Nissan and especially from a Murano Platinum. My 2021 drove better. Period.

I like the new Murano SL. Navigation is great with Google. You don’t have to program the address. Just tell Google where you want to go! For the 20in tires it doesn’t feel as smooth driving. I don’t want to feel the bumps, but I do. Interior is sexy but the price was a bit too high. It has everything on it I wanted except cooling seats. I don’t like the fact for the price it doesn’t have leather seats in the SL anymore. And the tire hub caps are plastic! I do not like that. What did they do? Raise the freaking price and lowered some standards. I asked why some for the same price had the alloy wheels and some had plastic. I asked about changing them and the dealership said it would cost a lot of money. They don’t care after you buy the car, it’s only before you decide they love you. Give me a break. I wish I had bought something else for $50,000.

241 HP is plenty of power for this size vehicle. The gingerbread electronics is that only seen in high dollar cars. Runs great...no major flaws. Tire repair kit is OK I guess although I'd prefer a full size spare. Only other weird thing is it has the area and cut out to have a cargo cover to hide belongings.... but no actual cover....not sure if it's an optional thing or what they were thinking
