"Most car for the money!"

I bought my first Nissan Maxima in 2000 and LOVED THAT CAR!! In an attempt to get more car for my money I traded in 2005 for an Audi A6 Turbo... and then traded the Audi in for a Mercedes CLK in 2007. While both the Audi and the Mercedes were both nice cars, because of maintenance costs and reliability.... in 2008 I traded and went into a lease of a 2009 Max when the new body style came out. My lease came to an end this year and i chose to purchase my third Max in 2011, and submitted to the fact that pound for pound the Max is the biggest bang for my bucks!! Luxury, Performance, Reliability, and Style are the bases for my choice. You can't get more car for the money!! Believe me... I've tried.

"CVT transmission ruins this car"

Very reliable and sporty handling. The CVT transmission doesn't shift predictably until it is warmed up. If pushed from low speed, say rolling away from a stop light, the engine sounds great but clearly the transmission is holding it back. i really do not like the way this transmission operates in either day to day or spirited driving. Other complaints include the fact the blue tooth audio will often drop the connection to my iPhone5 and I am unable to reconnect until I turn the car off and back on. I'll never buy a Nissan again after owning several Maxima's over the last 15 years

Avoid this car!

Paint job has serious issues and rusted off. AC went out, electrical problems in the power windows, door locks and sunroof and all just stopped working randomly. Lastly the transmission went out with no warning despite being serviced regularly at 180,000. The car only accepts the highest and most expensive octane gas and they real world mpg is atrocious. I will never have another car with a CVT transmission. Stupid thing Nissan ever did was convert most of their vehicles to CVT!

1N4AA5AP7AC828157 VIN LEMON CAR
Pros

saves gas

Cons

when it rains heavily, it cannot cross streets

I have bought this lemon car thinking that It was a good car. The salesperson lied to me, the car is not aligned, has suspension issues that will cost me between 1600 to 1800, some electrical parts issues. back window does not roll down. The car had 400k, but they told me that they had changed the motor which it will runs as if it was new. The car makes a noise and ac does not cool as much as possible when its hot.

Maxima is an excellent car.

I bought this car right before the pandemic, with 73,000 miles and only took one trip before the lock-down. I am a disabled veteran and my wife and I travel. We make trips 500, 800, and 1200 miles at a time. I have put 78,000 miles on it in 3 years. Parts changed: A/C compressor, plugs, 2 coil packs (changed all 6), brakes (front and rear), struts, and shocks, tires. It will cruise at 100 @ 3000 RPM, so it has plenty of power. Great comfortable, stable, ride. I had a 2001 Maxima before this car and it had 345,000 miles on it when I sold her, and she is still running. Can't go wrong with a Maxima

Maxima is the best!

This is the 2nd Maxima I have owned and my first one I put 250,000 miles on it and had zero work on it! I did take care of it very well but drove it until I needed something bigger. The kid I sold it to drove it a couple more years. You can not go wrong with this car. I'm at 169,000 with this one and have loved every moment of its reliability and power!!

A bit eye opening
Pros

My own came with more refro looking radio system

Cons

Low profile wheels are more expensive 2 replace

My first two vehicles were low, old and rough. After getting rid of those I got this from my cousin. For my first nice car it had great handling and power so it was quite fun. Ofc I was a anxious cuz I heard nissan has a bad rep for transmissions however never had any real issues. I think this car is prefect if ur looking for something a Lil more than a v4 that is affordable, or for someone that needs to understand the value of a car.

Luxury/sports sedan
Pros

Fast, comfie, stylish, almost perfect sports sedan

Cons

Transmission could be better

Car came with all the bells and whistles. I own other luxury cars that don't have the features this car has. The hp of 328 (modded my car. Stock is 290) makes it feel like a demon when going down the highway. Car runs great. No issues. Only cosmetic but wasn't the fault of nissan or the car itself. Love this car and I recommend it to anyone wanting a luxry feel sports sedan.
