Positive Review

"This is the best car I could have ever purchased."

I am the original owner of this 3000GT. It is the plain version of this car. After over 14 years, it drives like the day I bought it. I have never replaced the trans ever. I do the scheduled maint like clock work. I see quite a few where I live. I will say, I could not have this car in snow, it is too low. I get as many looks, at this car, as when I first bought it. I do not want to ever get rid of it. I haven't seen any car I like as much. I have talked to other owners, they all love them, and would not sell them. We have not spent a lot on repairs.

Critical Review

"I love and hate this car all at the same time."

I love the way this car handles and drives when everything is working right. I have the SOHC with an automatic in it and the automatic transmissions are not built vary well. I have had to replace the trans twice in 4 years. besides that the car runs great. When reading reviews from mitsubishi about children and car seats it said that the back seat was good for car seats what they dont tell you is there cant be anyone in the front seat. My daughter is two and if I have to have her in my car and someone in the front she has to put her feet up on the seat at almost eye level so the person in the front can actually get in the car. So if your going to get this car make sure its a standard and you have another car if you have a family dont expect to use the back seat.

One of the best cars made during its time!
Pros

Drivability, performance, looks, and handling

Cons

expensive to work on.

I have learned to work on the car myself as many do not know how to, including certified mechanics. Minor mechanical issues but nothing out of place for an older car. I still get people asking if Mitsubishi still makes the car because it looks like so new with the style. The interior is comfy and fits like you are in a sports/racing car. The visibility is far better than almost any other car I have been in say a convertible. The safety of the car for the 90s is great. Gas mileage is in the 20s on the highway and 16-18 in town. By far one of the best cars I have ever owned.
