Positive Review
On my second Mini now (first was the original style 2010)... My first one was totaled in an accident, and SAVED my life, the front was completely destroyed and I walked out without a single scrape. Because of this, I bought the new Coupe that came out. BEST decision ever. Such a small car, I can fit anywhere and zoom around... super easy to drive too. It feels like I'm driving a go-kart which makes it so fun. I can go on.. My next car will definitely be another Mini, perhaps the Paceman. I recommend this vehicle to those young, old, whatever. And the young-at-heart like myself.. Minis seem to do best with us fun people.
Critical Review
This car is not dependable. If I won the lottery I would dig a hole and bury it. Always has some kind of issue. At 80,000 miles it need a water pump and is leaking anti freeze. Always has an engine light on and hesitates when starting off at a red light or stop sign. Would not recommend a mini to anyone. I would like to trade it but due to the rate they depreciate I'm totally underwater on the car. Would not recommend Mini to a friend or an enemy.

Very fun to drive, stylish and unique
Reliability and quality, expensive to maintain
Great when it works, but...breaks down 2-3 times a year and repairs are not cheap. After only a few years I had to trade it in after it developed a second oil leak that would have cost $2000 to repair. Got a Kia Soul instead.
Agility, speed, interior instrumentation, design
rough ride, suspension
I am a devoted MINI “brand” customer (the Coupe) is my 4th Mini I have owned. In comparison to the: Cooper, CooperS; and the Countryman.___the “Coupe” is absolutely my FAVORITE of the MINI line. The model was discontinued; no longer made so that alone makes it special to me. The Coupe handles extremely well; tight NO “squirrelly” steering; while providing me with the speed I frequently NEED to zoom around oversized cars, SUVs and trucks. The car is uniquely designed, mechanically sound, durable; and quite FUN to drive. I truly LOVE driving my MINI Coupe.
Super fun to drive.
Not a daily or long distance type of vehicle.
Recently purchased a used Coupe JCW from a local BMW dealership after retiring from years of motorcycling. After a month of ownership, I must say the car is very engaging to drive especially with the manual transmission. The ride is hard especially on rough surfaces. On smooth curvy roads, it drives like it is on rails. It goes where you point it without any fuss. I would equate the car's driving characteristic to riding an Italian motorcycle with style and flair. I suspect reliability will be similar to an Italian motorcycle...high maintenance.
Performance, performance, performance...
Potholes
The 2013 Mini JCW will become the cult classic vehicle of the future. 6 speed stick, performance, ride and handling all culminate in the ultimate driving machine. You cant wipe the smile from your face after pushing this car to its limit.
Cool looking, fast, fun, easy to clean.
I recently bought a 2015 Mini Cooper S Coupe with an automatic transmission. I traded in a fully loaded 2014 BMW X1. I wanted a car that felt closer to the road and was really fun to drive. The BMW took itself too seriously for my taste. The S Coupe is a blast to drive. I look for excuses to run errands just for the pleasure of driving it. When I want a real sports car feel I put it in Sport mode with the push of a button and everything tightens up. The already fast acceleration quickens and its handling becomes even more responsive. When I am feeling more laid-back I leave it in regular mode and still enjoy a lively ride. I test-drove a basic, non-turbo coupe and was underwhelmed by its performance compared to the S Coupe. Not only is the S Coupe really fun to drive, it is a pleasure to look at. Heads turn constantly. It is seriously cute, youthful, playful and (did I say?) FUN! I mostly drive it in the city and get 26 mpg. It has a very solid and safe feel on the highway when trucks pass by. It gets great highway gas mileage. The trunk is spacious and useful. It easily holds a weeks worth of groceries for a family of four. In conclusion, I am thrilled to have found a new 2015 in the summer of 2016 and wanted to share my positive regard for this vehicle. Happy Trails.
fun to drive great gas millage
none
This is the cleanest mini cooper coupe S model you will ever see.
Just so much fun to drive.
The cup holders don't hold a large cup.
This is the second Mini we have owned. By far this is a exceptional car and our favorite. We leased this car but have recently bought it we loved it so much. It handles well, gets great gas mileage and where ever you go people want to come and look inside. It is just a fun, reliable car to drive and I have no idea why Mini stopped making this model. We would have loved to have bought a convertible.
Does not hold its value.
