Positive Review
The car drives very smoothly. It's stylish and has a great engine. It may be unique to me, but I've invested a lot of money in servicing my car. The interior is roomy and comfortable. Gas mileage isn't great on it, but it still gets me from point A to point B. It's perfect for a first car if you're learning to drive. Be wary in the snow, you need to be able to handle driving it with RWD.

Critical Review
I have a 1996 cougar xr-7 V6. It now has 215,000 miles on it and it just blowed the head. My aunt bought it brand new and took care of it and always put lucas in it.I've had it 6 years and I've had to replace both front ball joints. They both had snapped off on me at different times while driving. I got new brakes, tires and alignments and oil changes(normal wear and tear stuff). The trim off the back side window came off. The rubber sealing around the doors are falling off now too.

It will make a excellent parts vehicle. Good trainy, one of the top heads blew. . sat for few years. Yet, it started right up when 4 other cars that were,in normal weather, operating newer cars....wouldn't start. good motor once a 125.00$ head put on it.

Older couple bought it new. I bought it in 2001. Only had very few repairs. Needs new headliner. Tires are in good condition.
Great Ride and comfortable for long, long trips
Has the old Cassette Radio but I hate to change it
Bought this new when I saw it on a turntable at the 1997 New York Auto Show. Took my daughter home from the hospital in it when she was born that same year and now she is learning to drive with it. She gets upset whenever I talk about selling it. Love the comfort of the car on the open road. Has been extremely reliable and the interior is beautiful with the power bolster, embroidered 30th Anniversary seats. Still get compliments when I bring it for service.
nice ride
need an upgrade
House Wife's car, known as the "Grocery Grabber"
Very little wear and tear
This car has been garaged most of the time and mostly short trips. Always responsibly driven and not subjected to rough handling. Very little repair has been needed and always ready to go.
Initially, it took getting used to (seat belt access, cupbolder position, lengthy door, lowness to ground), yet the adjustment was worth the effort. . . Very acceptable mpg (mid-high 20's) tolerable blind spots, minimal maintenance, wish I could have ignored peer pressure and kept up the cosmetics....I would not hesitate buying this car , again, NEW.
