Critical Review
My truck has been reliable for the most part but the few times I needed to replace something the part was very hard to find and when I did find it it was very expensive! For example the thermostat housing isn't even offered at the parts stores, and when my head cracked I couldn't find a head anywhere. I searched all over the US, junk yards, online, etc. Finally I found one on ebay for a semi-descent price. It's just kind of an odd ball truck (rare), the demand for parts isn't high for it, therefore they don't offer them. But the truck ran well otherwise.

Quality and Dependable
Some wind noise.
Bought this Mazda new. Last year of the Japanese built Mazda. Was a Mazda dealer and wanted to have one. This 4x2 is like brand new with 72k for miles and has never seen winter in Minnesota. This is probably the cleanest 93 in the country.
Great ride!
Can hear brakes rubbing
I just bought this 1991 B2600i 4-wheel drive, 5 speed with 5 brand new tires and a complete new tune up and new wiper blades. Brand new shifter link so shifting is a breeze. It does need brakes but body is in excellent condition. KBB says it's worth$1500-2500.... I pd $1000 Woo-hoo!!!!
Wont die, fun to drive if it has 5 SPD
Not much, automatics probably aren't as fun
I've owned 2 of these trucks, loved them both. First one I used for my tree and yard service. I beat on this truck, overloaded it all the time while towing over loaded trailer too, abused it, hardly changed the oil ever, never did any maintenance really. It always started never broke on me once, ever. Sold it to a friend 5 years ago, he still drives it daily, still never breaks at almost 300,000 hard steep rough mountain miles. Its ugly now but wont quit. My second one was my daily commuter from outside lake Tahoe to san fransisco 5 days a week 3 1/2 hours each way. Took better care of this one but same thing drove it to 300,000 miles and it never left me stranded, ended up selling it due to paperwork issues but I'm sure it's still on the road today. I still keep my eyes open for a good deal because I'm not done with these little beasts. Truly well built reliable awesome trucks.
Fun to drive
Not great for towing. And poor acceleration .
The Mazda B series is a fun to drive Low powered pick up truck . You can put quite a bit in the bed of this thing even though you can’t Toe much with it it’s still a great daily driver the gas mileage is decent on this and the right quality is just all right because it’s Rws these never did all that well in the snow also these things have rather poor acceleration but aside from that this is a very well-made truck and if you’re looking for a truck that you can drive every day and can depend on look no further then the Mazda B series .

size to get in small places, ease on gas 22 mpg,
more back support from seat, stop making it.
I had a 1992 Mazda Extended Cab SE-5, 5 speed- I bought when it was 6 years old and I have had it ever since, still running - but my knees don't shift too well. Looked for another one in an automatic. I found a 1993 LE-5, Extended Cab with cruise, a/c automatic 134,000 and 24,000 miles on a new rebuilt engine. It runs like a gem and is in very good to excellent condition for a truck that is 22 years old (no rust, everything works), engine purrs like a kitten, handles like a car, no shaking or rattling, handles better than the newer Rangers, S 10's I test-drove. Hope to use it another 5-7 years for my antiquing, gardening and kayaking, by then I will be 67 and ready to pass this baby on to another Mazda lover, as I plan to take very good care of this one also.
cold a/c, good economy
hates cold
I have owned this truck for about 6 months second owner and she's amazing I had to rebuild her but she's still pulling strong. doesn't like the cold because she's Carbureted so that's why I have to kick her a little but she always pulls through. Great truck
Everything was awesome. Gas mileage was terrific
Nothing
I've owned this truck for almost 17 years now and she has been the best vehicle my husband and I have ever owned. So very reliable and a hard working truck. Our truck had nothing fancy in it just your basic simple truck. She was great in all weather situations. We always put really good all weather tires and driving in snow was not a problem. She does slide if your tires are cheap or wore out. I would not recommend this vehicle in the high country or with several feet of snow. She isn't tall enough to power thru. Replaced the timing chain after about 115,000 miles which was a deal when u think about it. Other then basic tuneups and a few repairs this vehicle was always garaged and taken care of. We will always cherish our memories with her. Now we're getting ready to upgrade and are trading her in. Hopefully the next owner will love her as much as we did.
