Positive Review
Fantastic driving experience, very good control, so stable and smooth always, even above 80mi speed. Excellent interior and nice exterior too. Super technology and so reliable. I love this bold
Critical Review
I am 6'3", so finding something that is comfortable is very important. This is my first Lexus SUV, and for the most part, it has been good. But the sensitive steering is not what I expect in this type vehicle. It drifts from one side to the other depending on the wind and the slant or divets in the pavement. Hold on to the steering wheel or you will wind up on the side of the road.

Dependable, Rock solid, built to last
MPGs
I have owned my GX460 for over a year after purchasing it CPO from a Lexus dealership. It is dependable, comfy and can handle anything we need it to do: rain, snow, tow, haul all the family, off road and it does so while being dependable and luxurious. Things I gave up: tech features are lacking, I get about 350 miles to a full tank so I’m stopping more often for gas. Things I love: she drives so smooth! Super dependable and feels rock solid unlike many SUVs I can tell this vehicle is made to last! Love my GX!
Reliable, Luxurious, Quite, Capable
Steering
The GX is the perfect balance for reliability, luxury and capability. The engine is buttery smooth, the interior is not overwhelming with glass surfaces. Made in the best Japanese factory (Tahara). The ride is quite and seats are comfy for adults. You can offroad it or tow smaller trailers with it with no issues. The engine is not the strongest and the steering not the most responsive, for those you can get a unreliable body on frame SUV. Last Lexus/Toyota product to have a v8.
v8, transmission, visibility, paint, quality
steering, highway manners, mpg, safety
I have owned a lot of cars. I love cars, and as such i replace one with another every two or three years. While the V8 is great, as is the transmission, the way it rides isn't great. the ride is jarring, the steering is terrible and on the highway it is all over the place. That engine is eager, but thirsty, and for the price, i really think there's better options. I bought this expecting something similar to an LS with 4wd and space for home depot trips, but it hasn't been the best experience. Frankly i think my jeep wrangler was more reliable and rode better.. which says a lot for the jeep and not much for the lexus. I went into this expecting a vehicle that Toyota had 15 years to work out the kinks, but find that's not the case, sadly, i think this is my last Toyota product, as i don't think I have had luck with the Toyota brand of products since 2007.
Best lighting, sits high to see the road well. Confident winter driver. Rides well, very comfortable, handsome in and out, well priced amongst a sea of other vehicles that don't have what I mentioned, just names. Navigation great easy to use, sound system great, everything placed well and simple to access. 2nd one I've had and will buy another.
