I am just turning 70 with some physical problems like sciatica and lower back pain. I am about 5'6"tall. I have been looking for a small hatchback for about a year and test drove about 8-9 cars that fit the bill. For ME the priorities were 1. Seat comfort 2. Ability to see over stearing wheel 3. Roominess for errands at home lumber stores, etc 4. Clearance off the ground---ie. some cars hit curb when parking 5. Fun to drive 6. Last but not least: price under $25k There are a number of cars that have better gas mileage and equal roominess, but only one other of them had seats with power assisted drivers seat and lumbar support because they cater to a younger crowd. Kia hit the mark with this car for my age group as well as younger with all the cool technology. It is easy to get in and out of, is peppy enough to pass if needed, has plenty of room, tight enough handling and VERY comfortable. Could have a little better gas milage, but not the make or break feature for me. The warranty is great as well. I love this car every time I get in it!

Critical Review
The engine on my 2017 Kia Soul + seized. All of my maintenance was up to date. The Kia service department wants to charge me $6,000 for repairs. I am the second owner of the vehicle. Kia won't back their own product. There is no warranty coverage. So now I have an expressive lump of metal... Last Kia I will ever buy (was my second).

Reliable, good overall quality, styling, performance, and nice comfy seats. The fuel mileage is good, and having a lower cost for service maintenance. The stereo is pretty cool, and a spacious cargo area and a luggage rack. I, like this small vehicle, pretty cool ride.

I, like the affordable price range of these smaller vehicles. Having good fuel mileage, and lower cost for service maintenance plus auto insurance. They have different range of models to choose from. They are actually a popular vehicle!! Fun to drive, comfort seating with very nice quality interior.

These kia soul cars are super cool!! Very popular choice, good gas mileage. Lot's of room space. Affordable price range new or pre-owned. The seating is comfy, it has really nice quality interior. Spacious cargo area, and a luggage rack. Reliable car, holds it's resale value pretty good. Being high gas prices right now, I'm definitely happy to own mine.

These subcompact vehicles are popular, they do well on fuel mileage, resale value. They have pretty good performance. Lower cost for upkeep services. Styling exterior, really nice interior. Comfortable leather seats heated. Touch screen stereo with apps.. Plenty of cargo area space, with a luggage rack.

Cute car that is fun.. Having a subcompact size car that is actually spacious. The fuel mileage is impressive. The exterior is sporty, and really nice quality interior. Soft leather seats heated. A really easy to use stereo with bluetooth connection. I, like the cargo area, and having a luggage rack. My overall experience dealing with this car is very good.

Reliable car really fun to drive. The fuel mileage is efficient. Pretty spacious vehicle with comfortable seats heated. The quality interior is fancy. Touch screen stereo with navigation. Drive mode selection, I do like the sport mode. The performance is pretty quick for this type of car.
