"I bought this vehicle brand new in 1999 for 10,500"

I still own this vehicle with just 88,000 miles on it. Since Oct 1999 when I bought it I have bought 4 new tires 3 times. I replaced the alternator and 3 Batteries over almost 15 years. Replaced all belts 2 times . All this as regular maintenance except alternator failed. Otherwise the best car I have owned for the money. The only options I got was air conditioning and automatic trans

Absolutely the worst car ever!
Pros

None

Cons

How much time you got

I bought this car with only 12.5k miles on it; still smelled new. Immediately there were electrical and transmission issues. The car would start when it wanted to and I had to continusily replace bad fuses. The transmission would randomly change gears on it's own. My mechanic showed me all the metal in the pan when he took it apart and said it was shot...at 15k miles!!! The dash started to peel up by the windshield at about 20k miles. This car was a complete lemon and Kia wouldn't do anything about it because I bought it from a private seller. This car was junk.

Great first car
Pros

easy to drive, reliable

Cons

kind of small

This was my first car and 8 years later I still have it. I've had great luck with it so far. Nothing major has ever gone wrong with it, just normal wear and tear as you would expect from any car. Still gets great gas mileage. It's been on several long trips with no issues. I would recommend this for a teenager as a first car. It drives really well and is easy to see out of. Also very reliable.

Good First Car
Pros

Fun to Drive when Manual

Cons

Maintanence

Got this Car as a High School Graduation present. Good little a to b car for a college student. I think it got decent gas milage (gas gauge was broken so not really sure. Don't think the car was well maintained before me but it lasted a good two years which is not bad when your buying with dirt.
