Drove it out from the dealership on a Friday, after a week I went on a long trip with the family From San Francisco to Los Angeles (365 miles.) Filled her up and still had about a quarter left. Ride was smooth and comfortable. Steering was very responsive, it's a BEAST! Top speed I did was 95 mph and I have no complaints about it. It can get noisy inside at those speed levels due to wind, simply crank up the radio volume.
Critical Review
I've custom ordered my 4xe, waited for 3 months to arrive, and after using for little more than one months, now it's almost 2.5months at dealership with no sight when it will be fixed, waiting for a new transmission. I spend $5000+ on rental car as Stellantis doesn't provide one nor loaner. This car doesn't lives up for the Wranger name as you cannot take it to back country as it can stop any time anywhere suddenly. On local 4xe forums many buyers report suddens stops on the middle of highway or anywhere without prior warning require towing. Imagine being in ghe backcountry alone with your Jeep without cell signal and suddenly dies. Good luck spending the night in the middle of the forest or desert or walm miles. For overlanding it is terrible as battery eats up a ton of space. And it has a very small gas tank, total range is around 300 miles. For roadtrips you need go stop way to frequently. It is very loud too. The pedestrian warning system, the steering wheel motor and AC removes all benefits of silent cruising in the forest. Steering wheel is terrible, it's like a toy. No direct response from wheels what is happening. Of course there are Wrangler pros/cons as for any other Wranger. The only benefit of this is the power, it is fast, accelerates fast and very powerful. Torque / HP are amazing, similar to a 392. But this power over reliability and Stellantis package doesn't justify the pricetag. Also be this car has very poor MPG once the battery is depleted - 20-21 mpg. Overall it was a very big mistake buying this one. Jeep - just empty every pocker. I understand this but who wants to empty packet for a cheap rental car while paying for a car over $60k as well. Not providing loaner car is the most disappointing customer experience especially the price tag. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Anything mechanical on the wrangler is not reliable.
I’m on my second brand new Jeep Wrangler within 2 years, Both 4 doors and the 3.6 motor. The first one (2023 Willys) blew the cam phasers and lifters at 48000 miles, and then again at 53000 miles… me and my wife decided to just trade it in to get away from that headache, and thought maybe we just had a bad jeep. Nope, the second one we got (2025 Rubicon) started to leak from the transmission at 4000 miles, and all the dealers in my area want your Jeep dropped off and will take 3-5 days before they can even look at it because they’re that backed up on anything coming from Stellantis. It’s wild to me on the absolute trash they’ll produce and be okay with it? Quality control and attention to detail most definitely is not their strong suit. Jeep wants me to pay for a rental out of pocket up front (like last time) and I’m refusing to do so, only because the last time I had to call Jeep multiple times to get my reimbursement check for the rental. Why am I calling you multiple times? It’s obvious Jeep produces vehicles with nothing but problems. Jeep should start sending dealers 20-30 loaners to have for their customers. It’s disgusting Jeep is charging a good amount of money for a vehicle and producing fisher price quality. Personally I could care less about interior, just give me a bullet proof motor, is that to hard Jeep? Save yourself time and buy a Toyota Land Cruiser, 4 Runner, or Tacoma! They actually value their customers and take care of you properly.

Nothing
Everything
I’ll preface that this review is for a long term rental due to a vehicle accident, however I feel 3 weeks with a vehicle can tell you most things you should know. A 1979 Ford F250 drives and steers better, this thing is “aimed” not steered, and to any Jeep fan that’s now got hurt feelings, they can politely go pound sand if you think a vehicle should behave so badly. It rattles at speeds under 10 mph, and generally sounds like the 3-piece freedom top will take flight - at any time! The 4-cyl turbo should be taken out and just let go, it’s awful and accelerating from a normal stop light is deafening. Fuel mileage, I’ve seen campers get better MP3’s! I’m averaging about 13 in mixed driving. The digital instrument cluster is flat and only usable for the person sitting in the middle of the second row, it’s horrible and not intuitive whatsoever. The only POSITIVE POINT is I’m so thankful I never bought one and even happier that it goes back soon JEEP - you are absolutely awful at designing vehicles in 2025, I mean you absolutely should not be doing it…Jeep is garbage and the Wrangler should be taken out of service.
A 2024 Jeep Wrangler unlimited that has had very little use and several upgrades does not loose $10K in value in less than 1 year. I will not bother with Kelley Blue Book values anymore.
My wife works for the post office as a rural route carrier; I bought a 2025 Jeep Wrangler in June 2025. It currently has 5600 miles on it and now the check engine light is on. P2096 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean (Bank 1). Since it is a 4 cylinder it only has one bank. I also have a 2018 and a 2021 wrangler the 2018 with 103500 miles has always had issues and has been down now for over 6 months with electrical issues. The dealer wants to change both harnesses in the engine bay and TIPM for over $10K. The 2021 with 83K miles, over the last 3 months has had the radiator, AC compressor, and alternator changed. I am afraid to drive it because I don't know what else will break on it. They are cool looking and are fun to drive but there is no way I would ever take one off road or have one as my daily driver they are way too unreliable. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado that was bought new and now has 205000 miles on it and has never had one thing go wrong with it. Once my wife retires from the post office in 3 years, I will never buy another Jeep again or any Chrysler product again.
Good off roader when it works!
Unreliable, Jeep unable to fix electrical issues
I have 2024 Wrangler Rubicon X with 3.6l engine. This is my 4th Jeep and also the last one! I had electrical issues with all of them. U connect, remote start (Jeep wasn't able to fix it), ESS not working on last two Jeeps. The ESS is the worst system. I have only 16k miles on my Wrangler, the ESS doesn't work for the last 2 months and it wasn't working more than it was from the beginning and "auxiliary switches unavailable battery charging" message is popping up every time I start the car. I went camping and next day the battery was dead. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully someone was driving by and jumpstart my car. I can't trust this car again. I'm taking it to the dealership again which is always very frustrating experience. I have wave program but nobody at the dealership knows how it works and anytime I told them about the ESS issue I was always told that everything is ok. I'm getting rid of My Wrangler and will never buy another Jeep again!
Looks, fun, top off for summer, 4WD for winter
No great place to put your phone and limited places for a phone mount; not the best gas mileage
Haven't even had the car a week, but I love it! So fun to drive and it's so easy to take the freedom panels off.
Love this Jeep! Been super fun to drive and reliable. If you have driven a Jeep before you will love this update of it. Love my diesel and will never sell it.
