I bought this jeep used with just over 15K miles and have loved every mile that I put on it. It is very much a status symbol with the wood grain, leather, nav system. It is very sleek, very comfortable, and has little "perks". The seat remembers the driver plus another individual, so you can easy move the seat to your position, the heating/cooling system controls are perfect because they are set to you specifically and monitor how hot/cold it gets. The back seat is comfortable for trips, and the seats fold down with ease. I can't recommend this vehicle highly enough to any one who wants an SUV that rides like a car.

By far this is one of the WORST cars we've ever owned. We've owned our fully-loaded 4.7L 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4 since it was brand new, and now she has 212k miles on her. It's terrible on gas, the transmission is noisy, but the 4X4 works great. The seats are uncomfortable and are ripped up from use. We've taken the Jeep on many longer trips, and have all been fatigued when we got out of it. The radio no longer functions, and it's the navigation radio, which isn't recommended. The speedometer no longer works, and the ABS and brake systems need work. The front differential was rebuilt in 2014, as it made a "clunking" noise, and the EGR valve had to be replaced as well. But at least she's been running as long as she's been running, and it's time for a replacement vehicle. Even though we've had a terrible experience with this one, we're still getting a newer Jeep, as the newer ones are impressive.

Bought my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee new in Dec 2009. Paid $26k cash with a great dealer incentive that year. Still in it as a daily almost 17 years later. 2wd 3.7L with a Mercedes 5wa580 super durable transmission. Plane Jane Laredo, low electronics means no troubles. Not all JGCs had that Mercedes trans but mine did. Got lucky with this Jeep. In all those years only problem in first 15 yrs was one window regulator that was fixed under warranty and never had any more issues. A good independent mechanic helped me stay on top of fluids/belts/hoses/brakes etc. He replaced the radiator, pcv valve, rear main seal and oil pan gasket in year 16 for less than $3k. A prior mechanic failed to do (but charged) the pcv and coolant flush in year 10, which caused a leaks problem. Now no leaks at all. New mechanic is fantastic, honest, fair priced. Replaced the headlights that faded, looks new now. Paint still glossy even though I have no garage. Port injected, timing chain, and old school dials for radio and hvac. Pretty sure I'll get 25 out of her. Replaced shocks and struts in year 15, still on oem water pump and alternator. Replaced battery every 4-5 years. Maintenance on this one was and will be much less than depreciation on anything new. Plus, with everything now done, next 4-5 years are basically just oil changes.
Bought it new in 2008 and sold it in 2016. Other than minor repairs and maintenance, it never gave me any trouble. It went through snow well and ran like a top the entire time I owned it. Very reliable and safe vehicle.
Window on driver side does not work The ac has a flutter sound on enitial star of the engine then goes away. Very clean interior. Runs great! Must sell husband has alzhiemer can't drive anymore
Pro's 1- Not having to worry about getting stuck in the snow. 2- Rides nice most of the time. 3- Comfortable after getting used to it. 4- has a decent amount of room inside. Cons- 1- Electrical issues 2- Part failure is like domino's. One after another after another. 3- Never being able to have a perfect alignment. 4- Rear diff fluids turns into a nasty brown gravy quickly due to rubber plug on the difference. 5- Im averaging 8.3mpg currently. Being AWD has it's disadvantages. 6- 4.7 V8 is the worst engine for exhaust manifold bolts and head gaskets. My advice.. find a newer jeep with a 3.6 V6. It's more reliable, cheaper to maintain and you get much better mpg
2009 jeep grand cherokee overlander 4wd always maintained/serviced at a corporate Jeep service facility always followed jeep recommended service 🛢 always used mobil 1 or pennzoil full synthetic oil
I bought this car used 2009 and it lasted me to 287,000 miles. I had replaced the transmission and engine at one point but it was a great vehicle.
