This has been a good quality, solid vehicle. No major problems so far. Only drawback has been it is a little underpowered - this is earlier version before horsepower was increased mid year. Otherwise good SUV.

Here is the list of everything I have replaced in the last 2 years: Tork converter, alternator, timing change, starter, belts, pulleys, valve covers, breaks, AC compressor, water pump And what it needs now... ABS is acting up, Transmission is shifting very hard,radiator I would not recommend this mechanical night mare to anyone except Adolf Hitler. It just seems that everything decides to break and pass on all at once. For everyone driving a newer, younger infiniti QX4...you just wait till it gets to the 180,000 mark... And the very few plus sides to this car... The engine is going strong. The paint and leather interior look brand new. Handles great in bad weather. With a tune up this car does not get too terrible gas mileage(for an SUV that is). Also....If your over 6'ft then do not sit in the back seat. Your head WILL touch the ceiling. They should just change the infiniti symbol to a dollar sign.

Looks Good, Runs Great, Reliable, Beginners Car
Turning Radius (it's a big car)
I bought the car for 2,500. I can admit the leather seats are ahassle and over time small rips can happen but they aren't too bad. I like the style of the car (but I like oldies anyways) and it's body isn't too bad. It's got a lot of buttons which can be confusing and it's hard to find information about the car but other than that it is a great car. It runs smooth and from what I can tell in my area it only takes 40-50 to fill up the tank from E. It's turning radius is wide but it is a big car, you get a big car you suffer the turning radius.

The car is my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. Even after being hit by a garbage truck as seen in the picture, i still drive it and i had it fixed because that was the last year Infiniti used reinforced Steel in the doors and after being t-boned at 40 miles an hour by the garbage truck it didn't bend or break the frame. Like i said it saved my life, i love her lol.

Seat belt retractors
This SUV is a work horse and never says die, if you do the servicing that is. Low maintenance, and comfort with the luxury of 1998. Handles well and is fun to drive, especially in the snow or on a winding road to nowhere. I could go on but, suffice to say a good value, fun to drive and reliable to boot.
