Positive Review
SEL trim. Great value. You don’t have to deal with the con of the volume knob as indicated in the KBB review. Tons of nice tech features. The LKAS on Hyundai is the best I have yet to experience. Beats Honda hands down. The MPG is GREAT for city driving. You can easily beat the 37 estimate. I have logged upwards of 39 averaging between 35 and 45 MPH. Highway driving MPG is not that great. Over 25 miles of Interstate driving on my commute and I can only get around 35 MPG. Very comfortable and smooth ride for the budget. I haven’t ran greater than 4K RPM but it seems to have plenty of pickup when accelerating onto the interstate. The added bonus of Michelin tires probably helps the ride quality as well. Wish there was more soft touch areas in the SEL trim and the shiny black plastic around the infotainment system is not fingerprint proof but the overall sleekness and nice lines inside the vehicle are amazing. The room inside is amazing and with the rear seat reclining, your back seat passengers have little to complain about. The full length moon roof really opens up the cabin as well. My only other complaints would be the absence of an actual spare tire, the MPG rating for 65 MPH continuous driving, and the quality of interior materials could have been a little better. Big pros are the city MPG ratings around 45 MPH, the design and looks, the roomy interior, and the cargo space along with having a higher towing capacity than most of its competitors. It also seems to get a little more HP and torque than most of it competitors in this Small SUV class.

Critical Review
There is only a Tire Repair Kit- compressor and a can of spray gook! Possibly OK if you pick up a nail in the center of the tread but useless if: wife is alone with kids, rim is dented by a pothole, etc. or sidewall is damaged- if AAA is called they can only tow to some gas station or dealer- then what?! - especially if not in your home area! Hyundai cheaped out or was too lazy to figure this out— Aftermarket spare kits exist but don’t fit beneath rear floor- no reviewers cover this but it’s a critical safety feature that keeps me from putting my family in this car - pretty poor oversight and lack of warning.

Occasional Apple CarPlay Connectivity Problems
In 2022 when I purchased my Tucson, new vehicles from many manufacturers were hard to find - except for Hyundai. I can safely say that it is one of the best vehicle purchases that I have ever made. The amount of space the Tucson has to carry cargo, especially for camping trips and moving students to/from college is very deceiving when looking at it from the outside. You can easily pack the camping gear needed for 2 adults and 3 teen-age kids into a vehicle and still have space left over to easily seat all 5 passengers without having to cramp any additional bags on the floor or in-between passengers. And for college move-ins with a single student, you can easily Tiger-Tetris in everything you need with room to spare - granted, my current college student is a minimalist in what he brings, however, being my 3rd child to go to college, I could have easily used this vehicle for packing for either of my first 2. Beyond the spaciousness of the vehicle, there is the safety and reliability. Being AWD, the vehicle handles adverse weather conditions - rain, snow, etc.. with excellent handling in both low and high speed conditions. Proximity detection systems work very well, sometimes too well, when it detects the side of the road or a median barrier and alerts you when you are simply trying to make a turn at an intersection; but I'd rather have the notification than not. Excellent fuel milage, extended oil change windows, and a great suspension system - PA Drivers, you know what I'm talking about here - have made this vehicle, for me, one that I have had the least amount expenditures. My biggest cost so far has been the replacement of all 4 of the OEM tires and new brakes - only once each since owning the vehicle. There has only been 1 minor issue that crops up every now and then and that is with the console system and Apple Car Play - there are some occasional connection issues, however, that could be due to iOS updates, app changes, and other factors. Overall, the Tucson is an excellent vehicle and continues to easily handle both the long drives as well as the short ones.
Efficient gas consumption, nice style, good looking car
Can’t find any
Very good condition, well maintained. SEL model, panoramic sun roof, 19 inches luxury rims . Only 62k miles.
I would get the limited with so many features standard. very quiet and a good value. I have had many cvt hybrids and this 6 speed is much better acceleration and quieter.
I have a bad back the seat could be more comfortable. Other than that I like the SUV .love the idea of moving my car from outside the car
Good safety features and mikeage
Poor quality
First off, I like the car and its features. However, too many issues for a car with 40,000 miles. Oil pan gasket leak at 2500 miles. Fuel door malfunction at 30,000 miles during a 1700 mile trip. Could not refill and caused a major delay. Front bumper frame clip broke at 42000 miles. Under warranty but dealer told me it is a wear item. So the front bumper cover is falling off and it has to go to a body shop. Dealer constantly trying to push services that are not in the owners manual schedule. Probably my last Hyundai
The 2023 Tucson PHEV has all the advantages of a hybrid and some advantages of an all-electric SUV. I purchased this vehicle in October 2025 at 35,800 miles and has 44,200 miles as of 4/1/2026. In my experience: -the Tucson can go 39 miles on battery alone, in combination city/highway driving, when weather is warm or mild. In cold weather, the gas engine turns on periodically for heat. -at public Level 2 charging stations (with a J1772 outlet), the Tucson gets to full battery charge in 2 to 4 hours. The dash display will estimate the charging time. -Mpg in hybrid mode is as advertised in warm and mild weather. -Mpg in hybrid mode is a bit less than advertised - so low 30s - in cold weather. -Reliability has been good - oil changes, a tire rotation and alignment service are the only maintenance needed so far. -compared to other hybrid SUVs, a unique feature of the Tucson PHEV is the traditional automatic transmission. Unlike a CVT, the driver can feel the gear shifts with the 6-speed automatic - the feel is the same in hybrid and EV modes.
Excellent interior space, Very good warranty, Lots of technology, All-wheel drive standard on hybrid models
After looking at countless compact SUVs, the 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid was the one that truly stood out. It has noticeably better storage space than most vehicles in its class, and the interior feels surprisingly luxurious for the price with a clean, comfortable cabin design. I’m also 6'4" and fit extremely comfortably, which I couldn’t say about the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR‑V when I tested them. It’s also just a great car to drive, smooth, quiet, and well-rounded for everyday life, and there are some great deals out there right now; I was able to get 0% financing for 60 months with a 90-day deferred payment, which made the decision even easier.
This is my first SUV, and I purchased it brand new. I am particularly impressed by the spacious interior and the advanced technology it offers. Driving in this vehicle is incredibly comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoy it.
