Positive Review

"Love my Excel"

i have been driving Hyundai Excels for the past 10 years at least (two of them). Both were bought used. With regular suggested maintenance I've had very few issues with either one. They handle great in the snow with good tires. The only down fall i've noticed is that once you get up around 100,000 miles they will start to burn thru the oil. You have to check it fairly often. I wrecked mine last week or I'd still be driving it.

Amazing...had since new and never lets me down! A+
Pros

VERY reliable and economical..a real gem of a car!

Cons

Basic and bare bones, but SO worth it's price tag!

This sporty little car just keeps going and going, and with normal maintenance will probably go forever! I've had it since 1994 and have loved it...it's the best car I've ever owned, and I've had quite a few. The motor is great, pretty blue exterior paint still looks almost like new, no big mechanical problems ever. And it's cute!

I’m looking for ANOTHER Hyundai

My review is not suited for a 1991 Hyundai Excel as my car is much older but there was not a category for a vehicle that old. My vehicle is a 1988 Hyundai Excel and I have loved owning and driving it for the past two decades until last night when I couldn’t get it started. However, imagine my car keeping me safe and running this long. My 1988 Hyundai Excel is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Now, after 23 years, I am looking to purchase ANOTHER Hyundai as they make good quality cars that are reliable, and I’m ready to reinvest for the long haul.

Good for to and from

Bought in excellent condition under 97000 miles. Within owning for 2 months however and reaching the 100kmiles mark my transmission started to go bad. It seems it is a problem with these vechiles and the price of rebuilding is outweighted greatly of the value of the car. All and all, good luck to you.

Love it

I love this car. Cannot take on the highway unless you want only 30MPG, but city it gets between 40 & 45 MPG. Extremely comfortable and reliable.

worse car ever

This was the worse car I ever had. I ended up fixing every system on this car at least once. It drives terrible. Don't buy one unless you have a tow truck.
