I have own 3 Toyota Tacoma. I picked the Ridgeline over the Tacoma for the following reason. I do like the dual function tail gate and the lights in the truck bed. I also like have the truck in the truck bed. The cabin is quieter then my Tacoma and the ride is smoother. I do miss the height of the Tacoma. I also like having ac vent to the back of the truck. If you do not do much off roading I would recommend this truck.

I bought this vehicle in August of 2018. This is my 3rd honda ridgeline, and my 8th honda for my family in total. I drove this car off the lot and the problems have not stopped. I had less than 50 miles on the truck when the steering column and the steering wheel had to be replaced. The car has had several other problems included the current one, that sounds a popping noise when the wheel is turned to the right. I am currently over 3 weeks in the shop for a vehicle that has 5200 miles on it. Make no mistake, Honda doesn't care about you, and dealerships care even less about you.

I have the 2025 Black Edition Ridgeline and overall it's a solid vehicle. Fuel mileage with 87 octane is 22-25 mpg on the highway with a smooth ride. I really like the swing away tailgate for ease of loading & unloading items. The bed "trunk" is an added weatherproof storage area. When the rear seats are folded in the upright position there is plenty of room for other cargo. Occasionally, I tow an aluminum trailer with a UTV loaded on it for around 150 mile round trip and the truck could use more power but it's a V6 and it's adequate for me.

Horribly cheap plastic materials
This is my 2nd Honda Ridgeline. I had a 2006 RTL. Now I have a 2022 RTL-E and it is made out of extremely cheap plastic. The trim literally just falls off. Very disappointed in this truck. I loved my 2006. That’s why I bought a 2022 top model but I really got ripped off. This truck has extremely poor workmanship. The quality is absurd. I can’t even fathom how they think it’s okay to sell me this cheap of a product and at the cost of $59,000.00 no less‼️ Very disappointed. I won’t be purchasing another Honda. I’m gonna try out Toyota next.
I bought this vehicle in November 2022 off the show room floor. I am very happy with my truck. I would definitely buy another Ridgeline.
Truck wouldn't start -17 below. Was in the truck. Not trying to start remotely. Cruise control not consistent. Fluctuations. Advertised to pull 5000 pounds. You have to figure in passengers and payload. They don't tell you this. In reality truck can't pull 5000 pound trailer. False advertising in my opion. Only 1 free oil change it has to be after 5000 miles. Truck was 1/2 quart low on oil and black. The only thing good it gets good gas mileage. Tailgate froze shut in winter no wheather stripping installed on tailgate.

I bought this truck almost a week ago and from the tons of research I've done this seems to be one of the best fits for me.
Does everything I ask of it! -Pulls my 19’ camper -Hauls 4’ sheet goods flat on the bed -Great in the snow -Rides great -Good gas mileage
Road noise is horrible
Wind noise and dealer described wind turbulence is to the point I'll take a loss on getting rid of brand new rtl . No help from Honda america and dealer in Woodstock GA is a joke !
