We bought a 2017 CRV touring about 2 weeks ago. Took a trip to Jacksonville Florida from Maryland last week. Round trip was about 1500 highway miles. Its winter so no AC was used. We have 2200 miles on it right now and we are getting 26.1 mpg and its going down. Its suppose to get 29 combined. 26 is not bad but when your expecting 29 its not good. We traded a 2016 CRV in and that was getting 24, it was suppose to get 27. We love everything else about it. The redesign inside and out is so much better than the 2016. It looks like a real SUV now. The leather seats are very comfortable. There is plenty of room in the backseat. There are a lot of nice safety features But if your looking for the 29mpg i dont think you will get it.
Critical Review
During the first 3000 miles I would have rated the CRV excellent in most categories. It is comfortable and roomy for both myself at over 6 feet tall, and my wife at 5 feet tall. The acceleration and gas mileage (25mpg around town) are both very good. I miss having a heated steering wheel and vented seats, which are not available on the CRV. However, at 3200 miles a serious engine problem showed up. At 70mph the car suddenly slowed, lost power, the check engine light came on, and multiple electrical systems reported malfunctions in the dash display. The car was towed to the Honda dealer and diagnosed with excess gas (approximately one quart) in the oil. The oil and filter was changed as a temporary solution, and a tech line case was opened with Honda. I was told at this time there is no permanent recall or fix. I was advised that this is a known problem in cold climates where the car is used for short drives and does not warm up completely. Since then I have learned that all CRVs with the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine have been recalled in China for the same problem. If you live in a cold climate I would not recommend this car at this time.

Reasonable price for small SUV
Not as reliable as anticipated
Replaced my RAV4 with a CRV thinking they were vehicles of comparable quality; unfortunately, I was wrong! Had zero problems with my RAV in 10+ years; the same cannot be said for the CRV. AC system failed in 5th year (2023) and again in 7th year!! Portions of the repairs were covered by recalls, but both still cost between $800-$1200!! On top of that, brakes have had to be replaced multiple times with only 75K total mileage:(. Now we seem to be having problems with the suspension. Ugh! Back to Toyota for my next purchase!
My 2021 Honda CR‑V runs flawlessly both on the highway and in the city, with an average fuel efficiency of 31 MPG. The vehicle has never had any accidents or scratches and has always been kept in a garage. All maintenance has been performed on schedule at Bella International Honda, so it is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It is a reliable, comfortable, and very efficient vehicle.
Very spacious and great in gas
Mirror doesn’t fall down automatically when you park
Car very reliable a lot space and ride smooth, great in gas excellent product. Front lights led love it
My 2018 Honda CRT AWD. Haa a problem with all dash warning lights come on and the engine shuts down. Fix is to remove battery for 15 mins. Then reattach. Sometime does it once a month sometime fails 3 times a week..
Love this car! It's easy to drive, lots of space, dependable, comfortable. This 2018 white touring sport model is the top of the line and has been reliable, safe, and easy to maintain. I purchased it new from the dealer with the full package. Have it till the present day 4/26. Was always notified of any recalls and took it immediately back to the dealer to correct free of charge. Drove it around town and on the highways. Gave it consistent synthetic oil changes and any other services needed like breaks, fluids, filters, tires, etc. The leather interior is still as nice as the day I left the showroom.
Very clean, few scratches ,drives and holds the road very nicely. stored inside most of time. Two rows seats. Lane guidance cruise control.
I love my car! I've had it for 3 years- bought it used with 30k miles and it has been so reliable and safe. I commute for work and live in mn so pairing excellent gas mileage with AWD is a must.
KBB gave a reasonable trade value. I was looking for a retail private sale. 2ndly I have some factory add on's that were not asked nor costs considerations for front brakes just being done.
