Any time it gets the slightest bit cold outside everything gets stiff to where the seat belt starts choking me because it wants to retract with such strong force and the gas pedal gets so stiff that I have to either press it so hard it basically red lines every time I accelerate or barely goes 5mph if I try to touch it softly. Definitely not made to cruise in comfortably, it's either all gas or no gas. Also has poorly designed cup holders that are only about an inch deep so any time you accelerate (especially when turning) you have to hold your drinks down or they go flying out of the cup holder and spill all over the floor or straight into the shifter box-both of which I've had happen multiple times each now in only a few months of owning the car so now the gear shifter is sticky due to this and it's tough to shift as well. It gets you where you need to be I suppose but with constant headaches along the way..Also not sure who is the bigger moron, the person that thought it would be a good idea to make the car beep nonstop any time the driver side door is open and the car is not running or the person/people that agreed with him that it was a good feature for a vehicle. Worst feature of all time in my opinion, it's like they thought it out when designing the car like how can we make this car as crummy as possible: let's make the gas pedal get super stiff and stick any time it gets the slightest bit cold so you have to press it down all the way for the car to go and then let's make the cup holders extra short (1-2 inches tall) so any drink you put in them flies out and spills all over any time you try to press the gas pedal and last but not least let's make it so when you try to clean up the mess from when that happens, the car keeps beeping at you nonstop for simply having the door open without trying to waste gas or drain your battery-GREAT ENGINEERING..NOT! Worst car I've ever owned!

I had this exact model for 12 years, and put over 180K on it before selling it (privately) for a surprising sum given the age and mileage. It was a pleasure to drive, responsive, reliable in any weather, seemingly bigger on the inside than the outside. Make sure to check the rear hatch seal, which degrades over time and starts to leak.

I sold this vehicle a while ago, and every time I remember how fuel efficient and reliable It was. The best vehicles I owned were Toyota Corolla and Honda Civics. You will be happy to own a honda civic, mine was an old version from 1998 but extremely good.

I have abused the hell out of this poor car, and it still turns over! It sat for five years and was jumped and running with no problem, another pro of these cars is that they have a lot of parts available and tutorials too fix most problems your self!

I bought this car new in Texas. We moved to Ohio in 2007 and it drove like a champ. Lived in Ohio for 7 years, then moved to Ark and it drove like a champ. Been here in Ark for 8 years now and it is still driving like a champ. I've had offers from others who would love to have this car, but I won't sell. It's been a great car for 26 years and it still runs smooth.

Bought this car back in 2019, with 119K on it now 2 years later I have about 153K on it it’s my daily beater and the car never lets me down, other then basic upkeep haven’t had to do anything else with this car, everything still works on it perfectly, this car is surprisingly good in the snow as well never got stuck even when practically burried in, great on gas, I 100% recommend this car still now at 25 years old it runs like a champ.
