Positive Review
Solid and dependable, I still love this truck! Absolutely zero issues. Whether it's load after a home improvement run, pulling the camper into the mountains or across the country, or shifted into 4-wheeldrive...it does its job with excellence.
Critical Review
been to two dealerships both say crosswind noise is normal. never had noise on my 2016 1500. my mistake buying an x31 package I`m 63 and use a step ladder sometimes to get in the bed. mpg is also my mistake, I`m used to my 5.3. so don`t expect good mpg. other than that I like it.

Lots of room and looks nice
Has severe safety issues
Baught a 2024 2500 AT4 Diesel and start having nonstop electric problems with all kind of “service warnings” and failure of all electric functions. Was in the shop 4x in the first year and 1/2025 to 8/2025 it was nonstop in the shop, because of similar failures - I drove it a total of 14 days during that time, the shop was unable to fix it. I finally sold it after it accelerated on its own and another time it kicked into the limp mode driving 60MPH into 25 MPH. GM failed to fix the problem and as more often it happened the worse the service got with the dealership. Would never buy another GMC diesel truck after this nightmare.
Haven't had a problem with it 140k haven't touched it other than fluids and filters! Top of the line,!
Smooth ride and comfortable seats
Infotainment is JUNK!
The servicing dealer has been great, the GM engineers not so much! The truck will without warning have no sound for the radio and the blinkers. GM told the dealership to reprogram then when that didn't work they said replace the amplifier and when that didn't work, they said replace a module, and when that didn't work they said to replace the amplifier again, and when that didn't work they said we know it's a known problem but we don't know how to fix it. All of this with less than 9k miles. The dealer has done everything that GM has asked them to do, but none of it works. It's very frustrating to pay this much for a truck and you can't get the radio to stay working. It also got away from the factory with paint damage and a dent in the hood,( the dent is from the inside out on a double wall). I thought I was upgrading when I went from a F250 Lariat to a Denali, but I may have traded one headache for another.
Bought a 2023 GMC Duramax diesel Sierra SLT had it for two years hit 50,000 miles. The throttlebody broke went in for service. Got it back three weeks at 62,000 miles now my transmission is slipping. I travel back-and-forth from South Carolina to North Carolina for work daughter’s truck would be my forever truck. What a joke Hundred thousand dollar truck junk
2024 Denali HD 2500 37678 miles the diagnostic by the dialer it’s the transmission valve Almost 3 weeks there said out the stock Not idea when I get fix !!!! BAD SERVICE!!!

Power, roomy, tow anything, technology
Getting used to height and length. 13 Cameras help
I bought this as my retirement vehicle. Couldn’t ask for a better truck. Lots of power, reliable, and plenty of room are some of the traits I love the most. I haven’t had to do anything except for routine oil changes/maintenance and topping off the DEF every 3rd fill up of diesel. Getting about 23 mpg which is great for such a BEAST of a truck.
Great tow vehicle
Gas mileage….?
This is a wonderful truck. I admit that this is my first big truck, but it sure is a nice truck. I purchased this vehicle with a specific goal of towing a camping trailer. This truck can tow up to 16,400 pounds with a fifth wheel, and I believe pretty close to that with the hitch. This is the 6.6 L gasoline engine. It might not get the best gas mileage I’ve ever had, but considering I’m towing a 14,000 pound trailer it does really well! It can tow the trailer down the interstate at 70 miles an hour no problem at all. All in all it is a fun truck to drive and really looks cool!
