"The Best Family Car"

If you need space this van has it! Space for kids, dogs and Dad's who want room plus luggage for 3 teanager girls that think their entire world must go with them. It has power and towing capacity. 5 speed transmission was great too. It's not a gas saver, however, the gas tank is big enough to keep you on the road for long hauls. We averaged 18 to 20 mi. highway (depending on the terain), 16 in the city.

Best sized van
Pros

Capacity of passengers and cargo

Cons

Not very efficient in fuel comsuption.

I bought it brand new in 1997 and have had it ever since. Very reliable van after 125,000 miles engine working very smoothly. I have always changed engine oil every 5k miles and used Mobil 1 10W30. Only issues I have had have been the AC compressor which did not last 5 years and an electrical issue that I have not been able to fix anytime the van sits outside and it rains hard, then it would not start fir 2-3 days after raining stops. Since I am storing it in a covered garage I have not experienced this issue anymore.

Reliable thoroughbread
Pros

Extremely reliable

Cons

Been beat with an ugly stick, cramped legroom

Like a horse, this baby needs to be run every day to be most effective. Lousy gas mileage but I didn't buy it as a economy car. The XLT cargo model has two removable seats which allows 4 x 8 sheets of plywood/wallboard into the cab with doors closed. Awesome reliability. Just normal wear and tear. 181K original miles on engine and tranny and no issues. Air works great, heat works great. Typical interior parts break off over time but what car doesn't? This car just keeps running and running. Cheap to own. Never much to look at, this baby is Cinderella before the ball. Love this car.
