2025 Genesis GV80 Consumer Reviews

My research several months prior to the purchase of my GV 80 in April 2022 has proved to be 'well rewarded'. After 50,000 km., I have no complaints as Genesis has met my expectations. The Genesis team has been great and this SUV has proven to be superior to my previous ownership of 3 Acura MDX vehicles. All were great! With all due respect, I have yet to find any vehicle including recent GV 80's to replace. I believe it continues to Appreciate!

The ride quality is quiet, smooth, comfortable, luxurious, easy to control and steer, the bells and whistles cover everything you need without gimmicks and if you need additional power to handle road situations it’s plenty there. For such a large comfortable ride I love this ride! Looking forward to doing more business with Genesis.

I recently traded a previous SUV for this GV80. I'm no stranger to Hyundai products as this is the 6th model owned in my household. For the money and reputation I've come to know, it made sense for me and with no regrets. Along with our 2011 Hyundai Equus, this is a wonderful addition making over-the-road travel enjoyable even the more. With all of the tech features and comfort this vehicle delivers what's expected. Looking forward to many miles with this one and who knows; I may intern upgrade to the 3.5T.

This is a good car to lease. After its 60k mile warranty is up the car is not worth it to own. Headlight repair alone is $3,000 just for the part plus installation at at lease another 1,000 because the front bumper has to come off making it not a simple repair. If your smart, dont buy this car and be sure to get rid of it when your lease is up. Otherwise it is what you would expect for a car costing 75k.

I have genesis GV 80 3.5 AWD. I bought it for $87K. They gave 3 year connected service feature then after we have to pay every year. I not took this service, I realize it not showing any maintenance or oil change notification. When I contacted genesis then they even dont pull when last oil change done. They said you must pay for connected service then maintenance service will show. This is basic feature it must show without additional charge. Everybody should know about this & don't buy this car. Last time it not shows oil change required or maintenance required, they told me on phone calculate by your shelf every 7500 miles need to change oil. It's written in manual. Who going to check manual? I ask that lady name but she argue again & again & not tell last name.

I purchased this vehicle used, and I'm very impressed. Now it's time for daily use, & a review will be done after a year of use.

Really good!...You wont regret when you get this car....I bought this car since 2021 and is still as strong and beautiful as first day....

Last year I purchased not one....but two GV80's. They were both low mileage used cars. The first one started having electrical issues within 2 months. The dealer received another and offered a trade which I took. Within a month I found out I couldn't get the oil changed anywhere except two places completely 300 miles either way. Then the back window blew out. No...it wasn't vandals. It blew out onto the driveway. The Navigation system needed to be rebooted every trip we took. The sunroof quit working as did the interior overhead lights. Service has got to be the biggest joke that I have ever encountered. Honestly....a YUGO would probably been as good as the Genesis. Maybe because they were used, maybe because the dealer didn't tell me truth about the history of the car. Lousy gas mileage and constantly having to update the navigation system was enough to make me scream. You get to get Genesis to give you a memory stick and then you get to spend two days trying to figure our how to update the system. These cars were nightmares. I'm so very happy that the major car reviewers love them so much. They should buy one themselves along with some strong meds to ease the stress.
