Genesis is the luxury spinoff from South Korean automaker Hyundai. The brand has been on its own since 2015. Genesis Maintenance Guidelines

The Genesis maintenance guidelines are designed to cause the least amount of inconvenience to their owners even going so far as preventing owners the inconvenience of even reaching for their wallets. That’s because all Genesis vehicles receive complimentary normal scheduled maintenance for 3 years/36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

Complimentary 3-Year Subscription: Genesis Service Valet

All new Genesis vehicles come with a complimentary 3-year subscription to Genesis Service Valet. The program allows owners or lessees to schedule maintenance service online or by using iOS or Android mobile apps, arranging for the vehicle to be picked up at a location of your choosing. After dropping off a loaner vehicle, owners can select when and where their vehicle will be returned, at their convenience.

As part of the complimentary service schedule, Genesis vehicles are able to take advantage of services that replace the engine oil and filter, rotate the tires, replace the air cleaner filter, the in-cabin air filter, the brake pads, wheel alignment as needed, and a multi-point inspection to top off any fluids, and check for any outstanding service campaigns or recall notices.

Extended Warranty and Maintenance Plans

Genesis offers a standard vehicle warranty that includes 5 years/60,000 miles of comprehensive coverage, and 10 years/100,000 miles of powertrain coverage. In addition to this coverage and the three years of complimentary maintenance that comes with each Genesis vehicle, the owner still has to schedule service, once the 3-year complimentary maintenance period ends. Genesis offers a pre-paid scheduled Maintenance Plus program as a means of extending the scheduled maintenance out to 5 years/75,000 miles. The plan offers coverage of all scheduled maintenance listed in the Genesis owner’s manual. Services are performed by factory certified technicians and repairs are available at all participating dealers nationwide. Finally, the plan is transferable which adds extra value upon the sale of your vehicle.

Genesis Protection Plan

The Genesis Protection Plan vehicle service contract extends the warranty life of the engine, transmission, drive axle, turbochargers, transfer case, steering, braking, electrical, audio, navigation, air conditioning and many other components. Buyers can add coverage to continue after the 5-year/60,000-mile comprehensive warranty for a period that can extend out to 10 years/120,000 miles. Deductibles can vary, and there is a monthly payment option if the pricing is included with your auto financing.
