Positive Review

"Amazing comfort and power"

Pros: comfort, power, quiet, handling , quick recharge and free charging for first 3 years. Cons: center console controls, Battery range, Typically charge after 190-210 miles with 30-40 miles left. Gauge is optimistic. Good news is there are plenty of chargers and Genesis pays for electric charge for first 3 years!

Critical Review

"1 star review for 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70"

I am extremely disappointed with my 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70. At just 4,400 miles, the vehicle displayed a “Check Electric Vehicle System” warning and became undrivable. The dealer later confirmed this was an ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failure, which is a known issue affecting Hyundai/Genesis EV platforms. This is not a minor inconvenience — the ICCU is a critical high-voltage component responsible for charging and core vehicle operation. When it fails, the car can lose power or become inoperable. That is exactly what happened to me. The most frustrating part is the lack of repair support and parts availability. The dealership currently has no ETA for the replacement part, meaning my nearly-new vehicle is sitting inoperable with no clear timeline for repair. In the meantime, I’ve had to arrange transportation and deal with loaner vehicle charges, despite this being a manufacturer defect. Genesis markets itself as a luxury brand, but this experience has been the opposite of luxury. A premium EV should not suffer a major drivetrain/electrical failure within the first few thousand miles, and customers should not be left without a solution while waiting indefinitely for parts. If you are considering this vehicle, you should be aware of the ongoing ICCU reliability issues across Hyundai/Genesis EVs and the potential for long repair delays. At this point, I cannot recommend the Electrified GV70 until Genesis resolves these systemic failures and improves parts availability and customer support.
