Love the style of my Ranger STX supercab and the power it has. Very Comfortable and roomy in the front seat not much in the back. I wish it had more features but for the price I paid has enough for the price. I enjoy it a lot.
Critical Review
I purchased the Ranger in March 2019, it went in for repairs May of 2019, with only 4,500 miles on it (it is now September) I still don't have my truck. The SYNC screen would go blank, the backup camera would turn on while driving, the touch screen quit working, the seat belt warning lights would turn on when no one is sitting in the seats and not warn me if someone did not have their seat belt on. I went through the whole buy back process and Ford gave me an offer that was far less (-$10,000) than the negative equity I had in the previous vehicle, Ford basically told me I need to write them a check for almost $10,000 so the buy back is complete, so, basically they charged me for diminished value and are not willing to compensate me for payments I had made while the vehicle at the dealer, this is the third new Ford I purchased in the last 2 years and I promise you, I will NEVER again purchase a new Ford!!!!!!!

Compact vehicle for people who don’t want a large truck.
Transmissions are not good quality.
So I bought my 2021 Ranger in December of 2021, I was really enjoying the vehicle, took very good care of it, kept it clean inside and out, made sure oil was changed before it was due, etc. Until around June 2025, when I ran through a large stream of water after a storm, and my transmission started making noises and struggling to shift, after driving it for about 3 more weeks, the transmission seized on me, mind you that the truck had only around 76K mile when this happened. Got it towed to the dealership since it left me stranded in a Walgreens Parking Lot where my fiànce had to leave work just to pick me up. Ford approved a rebuild and told me that it’s the only thing the would approve, which I found to be ridiculous. After getting it back after the rebuild about another 6K miles at 82,500 miles, my 2021 Ford Ranger transmission seized again on the interstate coming back home from visiting a good friend of mine after just having a rebuild on it, 10R80 transmission is garbage, I will never own another Ford again, I have recently switched to a Toyota Tundra SR5, and love it so far, Ford has served my family for decades, but since this happened, they will no longer serve us.
Used but feels like new
Had to purchase a third party extended warranty
I purchased my new/used 2021 Ford Ranger with only 15k miles and it really feels like new! The Ford Dealer, Bert Odgen Ford in Lyford Texas worked with me to settle on my trade-in and the final price on this vehicle plus they delivered it to me! It's a great pickup!
All the bells and whistles
I bought this truck from Larry Miller in Mesa, AZ. Truck had under 20k on it. Like new inside and out. Drives great.
It has a bed liner and a Tahoe cab cover.
This truck has not been used a lot. It also has a sprayed rubber liner in the bed and a Tahoe cab cover. Very very clean.
Great looking
Not best mpg
Fantastic truck, rides great, handles great, looks great. Fun truck to drive ,still looks great ,no problems yet
I bought after finding on Auto Trader and researching kbb. It had everything I was looking for and the buying/dealership process was easy.
I bought my Ranger Lariat new in 2021. Currently have 16,845 miles on it. So far it has met most of my expectations. Pros good gas mileage, lots of power for a 4 cylinder, mine has all the options available in 2021. Love the adaptive cruse, would never have a vehicle without it. Cons I am over 6 feet tall and am a bit cramped on the driver's side also the ride tends to be very stiff. Otherwise, I am happy with the truck,
Performance of snow and driving on ice
Then that I can think of
I live the 4000 foot level and have found my 2022 Ford ranger invaluable. My husband was diagnosed with stage four cancer and I was able to take them over Highway 88 six times and four-wheel-drive without having to need chains. Plus after he passed my house was hit with 3 1/2 feet of snow and I was able to get into town without any issues. what I also like about my Ranger is unlike, when I had my Ford escape I’m not challenged on the highway and people don’t cut me off. I travel a lot and I like to be sitting high in traffic.
