My 93 ES talon, while i wanted to love it, was nothing but problems. Every month after i passed 100,000mi i had a major problem with it. Whether it be belts, exhaust or temperature gauges there was always something. Its a wonder they dont make talons anymore.

Cheap and easy
Quality was lacking
This was an amazing car. I think it was my first car many years ago. It was cheap but exactly what I needed. It’s hard to separate my experience with this car with all the good times.
fun to drive, acceleration, looks
reliability, cup hold in a terrible place
Owned a 1993 Eagle Talon TSI for 20 years. Positive: Fun to drive. Accelerates much quicker than more powerful cars during its days. The looks, both inside and outside were just stunning. Now the negative: My eagle had a chronic problem, the RPM fluctuates at idle (I say half the time) to a point where sometimes the engine stall. It has been its problem from the day I bought it to the day I sold it. I have taken it to the dealer many times, and they pretty much told me that they don't know what's wrong with it. I wish I was aware of the "Lemon Law" when I bought the car. But overall, I was happy with my Eagle

I have owned this car since 1994 and I love! Its stylish and still drives great! I put a custom stereo in (system) .I have definitely got my money out of this car -people are always saying how much they like it. About 7 yrs. ago I had to have the timing belt replaced and of-course always on top of belts etc. I have never had a hard time with it though and it will go through ice and snow like a pro. I love my Talon!
fun, fast, handles like a car costing 5 times more
shifting a little knotchy
The combination of performance, handling, and mpg is amazing. a little bit of a pain maintainance wise, but the pro's so far outweigh the cons it's a no brainer. wish I would have gotten one sooner
Awesome ride.
Expensive to maintain.
Great car. Awesome handleing in all weather. V8 power with 4 cyl gas mileage. Has numerous issues like any vehicle. If well maintained it is a great car!

high maintenance vehicle
I bought my 91 Talon TSI AWD turbo back in 2006 with 84,000 miles on her.She now has 95,000 miles on her and it is now nearing the end of 2011. This car is lucky to get 20 miles a year on it and my wife and two boys think of her as a member of the family. This thing is for a lack of better words fast and furious! The ride,the handling and the explosive acceleration is addicting. These cars can be reliable if maintained at the proper intervals. I will never sell this car unless it's an emergency! She still looks and runs better than new. I could get twice the money I paid for it if I ever do decide to sell it. Love this car.
Performance, Handling, Design, Build-Quality
Not Practical
This car combined excellent Japanese engine/turbo design with superior American structural quality. What a fantastic combination. I bought this 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD in 2000 with 120k on it. I owned the car until 2004 (180k) and sold it for more than I paid (due to high demand for original Eclipse/Talon design). The performance was amazing with incredible response from the turbo and great handling from the All Wheel Drive. When I sold it, it was still very powerful while using the original 1993 turbo-charger. I miss this car VERY much, but a new family meant giving up the ultimate toy.
