Positive Review
I bought this truck new. It has towed a 24 foot travel trailer and then a 18 foot fishing boat in the mountains of northeastern California. Taken me hunting in north central Arizona and plowed through feet of snow in the mountains north of Lake Tahoe. Have had Chevy and Ford trucks and this is the best I have owned.
Critical Review
these trucks are great trucks. General mechanical issues over the years. Dokotas generally have some sort of transmission issue when in the high milage due to that Overdrive feature on the automatic transmission. Some are also known for minor electrical issues. But the engines are solid. Its the dodge 318 block essentially just missing 2cyl to make it the v6. So a very goo work truck

Reliable
Interior stuff tends to break
I bought a 1994 Dakota with darn near 300 thousand miles from a friend of a friend in 2006 or so. It never let me down. Was a sport with a magnum v6 cost me 400 bucks. I beat it senseless…. Sold it still running strong Fast forward to 2017… after horse trading for a 71 suburban that cost me 750 bucks to a 94 ford e 350 cargo van to a 95 f150 that caught fire 🔥 I got insurance money and traveled from Oregon to Idaho to buy my 95 Dakota with a magnum v8 and five speed for 4000 bucks. Still roasting tires and hauling a camper at 175000 Miles in 2023…. Better than your overpriced Toyota. Nuff said ☮️

Great truck for the age
I can’t say I have any
Love my 5.2 v8 got more balls then some full size trucks… have had it painted and done exhaust upgrades wheel tires better spark plugs and wire and distributor and mad ignition coil….new trans just recently
Fun to Drive
Does a weird thing where it will only start in N.
There small little pickups that pack more of a punch then a ranger with their V8. Very fast to drive.
Still runs great
Hole in gas tank needs a tune up
Great truck just needs a little TLC. Don't have the money to put into it has a leak in the gas pan the interior has a little wear and tear it needs signals and possibly a new ignition switch
Handling is good, power, and the looks.
Very light, can be dangerous
Great truck for being a smaller 2wd truck. Has some power, v6 and looks good also. The only thing it's a light truck so it can be dangerous.
94 dakota manual trans v6 4x4 Gas mileage 22 hwy. 15 city. Its been a super reliable truck. These are good trucks with a manual transmission the auto transmission dont hold up well love the shift on the fly 4x4 has 220k and still going.
Iv had 2 dakotas one v6 one v8 both very good in anything iv put it up to. From towing cars to playing in sand dunes hands down best midsize truck ever built
