Positive Review
I bought this 4x4 when owning a Dodge pick up wasn't cool, only cost 14 grand and it was the LE package. At the time I bought this Chevy and Fords were considerately more money. My old truck is powered by the 3.6 liter engine which was a mistake when used in the four wheel drives due to it being very under powered. I gave this rating because almost nothing has went wrong with this old truck. I replaced at 175,000 miles the complete front end parts all the joints, drag link, even replaced the steering rod with a much better aftermarket one which made the old girl drive as good or maybe even better than the day I bought it. She uses no oil, engine or transmission and there are no leaks, not to many newer vehicles can say that. The air conditioner has never been touched and everything right down to the power windows and the cigarette lighter still work. This truck has been used pretty hard but was always well maintained. So,if you are thinking of maybe buying one of these old Dodges............. Hey what can I say, these old trucks are 20 years old. Your on your own.
Critical Review
My father was the original owner and he has given it to me. Runs very strong and has never not started. Tranny was rebuilt with a larger torque converter (at 66k miles) and steering box has been replaced. Only regular maintenance since. Its sat outside since it was purchased through Iowa winters and Iowa summers so I am surprised the paint is still in good shape. Only issue I have is that changing out parts can be different depending on where it was built. 318 is the best motor Dodge has ever had. Dodge is not what they used to be.

Roomie, solid, looks good and drives good
Gas mileage, I get around 15 hwy and 10-7 elsewher
4wd will take you places and the straight axle can take a beating. Rust is an issue just keep it clean. Take care of it and it will do the same for you.
Has sure been a very good, reliable truck!
V6 under powered and not very fuel efficient.

still fun to drive, last of the wing windows
no airbag or cupholders, 15mpg
I bought my 93 D150 sb, 2wd, manual 3.9L, work truck model new. Have 202,000 miles on "Dodger" and still going strong. Was my only vehicle until 2005 when I moved to rural and needed a 4wd for winters. My "Dodger" has been my fair weather only baby since then and the Durango gets driven in all the bad weather. Dodger has always been parked in the garage and the Durango sits outside if that tells you anything about how much I love Dodger. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Only replacements have been water pump 1 time, muffler and exhaust pipe 2 times, brake pads, belt, head/tail/side lights, radiator 1 time, fuel pump 1 time. About 2004 the ignition wire started overheating but shorted out as designed to do (not sure if that is correct terminology) so no fire occurred. That is only time I was left stranded. Have factory white paint and vehicle lovers always are in disbelief that it is original paint job. No rust or any body repairs. I have taken care of Dodger always washing after driving in snow back when I drove it in the snow. Can't go anywhere without at least one person checking Dodger out. Even occassionally have someone asking to buy. Won't sell this baby until I'm too old to drive!
Fun to drive, sounds great, and very reliable
No cup holders, alittle harsh on fuel
I've owned this truck for roughly 8 months and i have loved it every minute i have had it. very reliable truck, decent of fuel and it is comfortable to drive, it was a municipality truck for the town i live in and when i bought it, the city workers that used to drive the truck stop me at the gas station once and a while and will tell me how much they liked the truck and that they are glad to see it in still such good shape. I'm really happy with the 360 magnum motor, it can really move that truck in a hurry. i fell in love with the older dodge's about three years ago and nothing has changed my mind ever since
Best thing I have ever bought.
a blast to drive and will always get u there
lacks cup holders and mpgs
Mine is a 1990 Dodge Ram 150 club cab 4x4. It has the 5.9 v8 with efi and an automatic trans. It has roughly 200000 miles on it an has had next to no repairs needed. I have owned it for 4 years but has been in the family since new. The only thing that has been replaced is a water pump, radiator, fan clutch, and u-joint. Has been the most reliable and trustworthy vehicle i have owned. It get around 10 to 12 mpg. Truck is a very hard worker, its only a 1/2 ton but has hauled/towed whatever i put it up to. Had around 14,000 pounds behind it once an pulled like a champ. The only complaint i have so far is the rough ride. it has hd suspension for hauling. The 4x4 works superb. its hard to stop in the mud. These dodges are a true work horse. it awesome :)
owned this truck for about 5 months. only have had to do minor repairs. 3rd owner. really reliable has not let me down
I have the 360 V8 4BL Carb. Mine is the 1985 D150 Royal SE version. I've owned this vehicle for about a year and I wouldn't take another vehicle over this one. Even though the GVW rating for this truck is about 7500 with a fifth wheel, I've towed 10,000 pounds with it numerous times with no problem as long as you use the low gear for hills when loaded. And I haul several hundred pounds in the bed on a weekly basis. It definitely was designed and built to do work day in and day out without any trouble. The only downside to the truck is the gas mileage. When I bought the truck it got 9 MPG. Though I've added an Edelbrock air intake, changed to synthetic oil, and I use a bottle of fuel additive at every fuel up to get the MPG to about 12. If Dodge still makes their trucks like they made this one, then I would buy a new one if a could afford it.
