Introduction

2023 Kia EV6 GT

Kia introduced its EV6 electric SUV for the 2022 model year and made few changes for 2023 because it was so new. The biggest news? A high-performance GT version with 576 horsepower that is relatively rare on the used market. The EV6 is known for its aggressive good looks, extensive cabin technology, and fast charging by 2023 standards. It competes with the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

KBB Review Highlights

The 2023 Kia EV6 is an exciting car. Its sleek, rakish appearance turns heads. Its cabin is similarly stylish and includes most of the same technologies you’ll find on brand-new vehicles this year. Its ride is composed, and some trim levels are remarkably quick. Electric motors deliver their full power immediately, unlike gasoline engines, which spool up over a few seconds. Power options of 167, 225, 320, or 576 hp let shoppers choose how much power matters to them.

The 2023 Kia EV6 was built in five trim levels: Wind rear-wheel drive (RWD), Wind e-all-wheel drive (e-AWD), GT-Line RWD,  GT-Line e-AWD, and GT. More powerful motors drain batteries faster. So the Wind RWD version had a range up to 310 miles when new, while the speedy GT model got 206 miles. All EV6 cabins feature dual 12.3-inch screens – a screen for the driver and a touchscreen for the center – and include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optional technologies on some models include a Meridian sound system and an augmented-reality head-up display that projects 3D turn-by-turn directions into the driver’s view. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) will accelerate, brake, and steer to keep the car’s position in highway traffic as long as the driver’s hands are on the steering wheel.
