An impressive 3-row midsize SUV, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade offers seating for eight, or seven when equipped with 2nd-row captain’s chairs. The sole engine choice is a 3.8-liter V6 connected to an 8-speed automatic. It provides sufficient power to keep the Palisade moving, although it may be overmatched when the Palisade is full and towing its maximum of 5,000 pounds.
The Palisade rides comfortably and accelerates well. It’s not exactly a thrill ride, but most people shopping for an 8-passenger SUV are not looking for that.
